Kudos to Mandalay Inn-Siem Reap for making my Siem Reap visit relaxing & satisfying
as you provided me not only convenient amenities but also
that warm hospitality ,greeting me with “hello, how was your day Sir?”
even on the weariest of days. It made all the difference.

Yours is one of the best budget accommodation I can think of ,
worthy of recognition & recommendation
(best value for money, solo fan room @ $6 a night on the off season!)
and I hope you’ll stay that way till my next visit to Siem Reap.

Overall, I shall say I'm one happy guest.

Great value for money. Wifi in room, clean & tidy rooms which are arrended to every day. Lovely helpfull staff. About a ten minute walk to the center of town but perfect as it can be very noisey down their at night. Good food menus and onsite travel agents who won't put you wrong. Also very safe and secure place.

When you're paying only $16 US a night what can you really expect? The staff was very helpful and friendly. When you check in they give you a cold glass of water and then show you to your room. The rooms are pretty small but for two people w/out much luggage (just three back packs) it was adequate. The bed was comfortable and the room very quiet and able to keep dark. There was even a small TV offering cable. Free computers in the lobby to use with Internet that wasn't too slow. Lobby is hot though as there is no AC. There was AC in the room though which is a must in Cambodia. I would have liked to have had a pool but again for $16 you're not going to get that. For the price this hotel cannot be beat. They offer tuk tuk drivers to Angkorwat for $10US a day and you can spend as long as you want there. That's an amazing deal. The biggest drawback for me was that the bathroom shower is right next to the toilet without a separate divider or anything so you're sink, toilet, and everything gets soaked every time you shower. (Take the toilet paper out of the bathroom before you shower or you will have wet TP). There is hot water though and even though it's a hot country a hot shower at the end of a day is still nice.

This hotel is a great deal, but you need to know exactly what to expect.

Pros: great staff, good location, very cheap price, decent restaurant, friendly for travellers/backpackers, free internet, free purified water, air-conditioning, cable tv, free pick-up at the airport (if you stay 3 nights or more), good travel agency adjacent to hotel, easy access to Angkor and Lake Tonle Sap, a short walk to Pub Street. A great value for what you pay.

Cons: bathroom is also the shower (took a little getting used to), small rooms, no pool

After a horrible nights experience at Garden Village we decided to check out a room at Mandalay Inn to see if we would move there - and move there we did!!! The rooms are compact but perfectly clean, great power shower, tv, fridge. we paid 8 USD for a fan room, i think we got a discount because we used a lot of their travel services. but we stayed in room 306 and after one night with fan our room was like a little sauna! not sure why but it was always cooler outside the room than in! so we paid an extra 6 usd for air con and it was perfect. i really did like room 306 because we had a little balcony with a table and 2 comfy chairs right by the room. perfect to watch the sunset and but some really cold 1 usd beers from downstairs. really really nice. staff were so so friendly. spoke perfect english and just could not do enough for you - we were so impressed. we also asked them to take care of a thai visa extension for us (cost 30 usd per person and a 60 day thai tourist visa was resturned to us within 48 hours no problem! - much better option than having to wait 3 days for it in phnom penh and bribe people to give your passport back as we heard from others) we also booked out tuk tuk driver for angkor through the hotel for 13 usd for the day - this included leaving at sunrise - 440am. we also booked our transport to bangkok through the hotel. 10 usd per person. we actually had to ride 7 people in a 5 person taxi for 2 hours to the border!! very cramped, illegal and uncomfortable! it was really horrible. but this was not the hotels fault as they booked another company for us but perhaps they should change who they give their business too! we also dinner there which was not that cheap and pretty average - i had really high hopes as the whole style and serviceof the hotel was so good but i was actually really dissapointed. it was all edible (apart form my partners traditional desert which was just uneatable-and he eats anything!!) but not memorable and the portions were small. didnt eat breakfast here so i cant comment. all in all though a great hotel for a great price, great location and will do all they can to help you. best choice i saw in siem reap.

This is one of the best places that we've stayed in Southeast Asia. The rooms are small, but extremely clean, comfortable, and with great amenities like free wi-fi and cable TV.
From the minute we got here, we have been treated like royalty. The staff are unbelievably friendly and helpful. When someone in our party got sick, they asked about her every time we saw them. When we needed to take her to the hospital at 3AM, they rode out into the night to find a tuk tuk for her. They go incredibly above and beyond in every way.
This is a great value (our triple was $18/night). The attached travel desk is helpful and on the lower end of prices and their tuk tuk driver is friendly and a cautious driver.
We're surprised that it's not #1 in Siem Reap!

We could not have enjoyed this place more. The staff is unbelievable; they are always smiling and looking to please. Every request and question we had was immediately tended to with a great attitude.

The room was good for the price: decent size, AC that works as advertised (not a given in this country), hot water as advertised (also not a given), TV with some English channels and WiFi. Onsite restaurant is pretty good when you don't feel like venturing into town, and is cheaper than the touristy places on Pub St and the Alley.

They also save you the hassle of haggling with tuk-tuk drivers by arranging one for a fair price who speaks competent English. Our time in Siem Reap was extremely pleasant and easy thanks to Mandalay.
