“Really great service and very clean”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 29, 2012 via mobile

The service was excellent the staff were always so helpful. The rooms are pretty good we paid $9 for a double fan room with fridge and TV. I don't think this is the cheapest around but since all the reviews were so good I would rather pay a few dollars more for piece of mind.

The gym is very hard to find and not a lot of the equipment works so if you're going there specifically for the gym I would maybe rethink where you go. The cross trainer is basic but works fine.

I didn't eat there so can't comment on the food. Location is great just a short walk from pub street and restaurants.

Cleanliness is great. We even saw staff cleaning the hallways with a toothbrush!

Just a tip, some people we met on the bus asked their Tuk Tuk driver to take them to this hotel also. He said he would buy halfway through the journey told them the staff don't like foreigners and took them to a tourist trap hotel instead. Just be firm with where you want to go. I would always have somewhere in mind and insist on going there, even if you don't end up staying there you can find somewhere else.

I have chosen this hotel based on other reviews of TA and was certainly NOT disappointed.
free tuck-tuck pick up (although he hopes you will be visiting Angkor Wat with him :) but no worry of you don't). although i'm fussy, I got a good twin fan-room, cable tv, fridge, safe, for only $9 (I don't like A/C). True the water in the bathroom was rusty and I didn't trust the bed-sheets 100% but I did enough to sleep in them. the mattress is soft so beware bad-backers!
The location is perfect if you want to be 2 min walk from pub street but not disturb by the noise. the hotel provides every kind of tours and ticket you need and the restaurant is great. even if you don't stay there, go and eat there. I will definitely stay again if i'm looking for a good room at a great price.

Room Tip: the ground floor rooms are a bit dark so try and have one on the first floor

For only $17/night we had a room for three people with hot water, AC, internet and cable tv. The hotel is beautiful and clean.

The rooms are a bit small for three people and the shower is just a shower head in the middle of the bathroom so everything gets wet. Those are the only real drawbacks though as the hotel is walking distance to lots of shops, spas and restaurants as well as the market.

They arranged a tuk-tuk and guide for us to Angkor as well as our boat tickets for the next part of the trip. All of the staff were helpful and pleasant.

Definitely recommend this hotel.

Great location, friendly staff, delicious food, clean rooms, quiet and conveniently located. Excellent bang for your buck. The whole staff is genuinely nice and there's always someone around to help you with whatever concern you have, even in the wee hours of the morning.

$16 for an AC room with hot water, real hardwood heavy furniture, bed dressings and a nice friendly staff in uniforms that even welcome you with a cold glass of water! Backpacker prices. 3 star quality. We were in heaven. Great location as well. No catches. Really.

I reiterate the below review (JodieW206) completely. Basic rooms but clean and GREAT service. They organise everything tuktuks boat trips onward travel and answered any questions. And they don't rip you off like many!! (sigh). Would def recommend for the backpacker/flash packer set.

Thank you to the owners and staff of Mandalay Inn for a wonderful stay!
We had 4 nights at this cute place near the Old Market (great location) - the owners are incredibly helpful and sweet, as are the other staff members. Their English is great and they were so happy to help answer any questions we had about our daily activities in Siem Reap. We easily organised cars, tuk-tuks etc through the hotel, to visit all the tourist sites around the area - it was all very effortless. The rooms are simple but very clean and comfortable (and also very quiet). Hot water is great, air con is great, sheets/pillows etc are very clean and comfortable. This place is great value for money, I would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends!
