An excellent place to stay while in Siem Reap. The hotel staff was warm, friendly and accomodating. Likewise with the tuk tuk drivers in front of the hotel. Found my stay at the hotel to be relaxing and comfortable. Breakfast was very good. The massage service was really worth it. The pool a haven after the long walk at Angkor Wat. I love our room. Big and spacious with a balcony for those who smoke. Also, with a cable TV and free Internet. Bathroom with a bathtub if it suits your fancy. Overall, would recommend it highly to my family and friends here in the Philippines who wishes to visit Angkor Wat in the future as the hotel of choice. To all the staff of Royal Empire Hotel, many thanks for a wonderful stay.

Room Tip: Corner suites are large and sunny.

First time for me in Cambodia and I booked this hotel from Booking.com. The special price and the good reviews about it led me to book a double room for 5nights.

The service was pretty good, all the staff members were taking care about me and my requests immediatly. The Hotel is situated on a main road linking the airport to the siem reap center.
The pool is nice but the gym in my opinion is nothing special, but still good for take some jogging with the tapis roulants.

About breakfast the buffet is pretty big, with noodle and eggs stand where 2 guys are directly making to customers the dishes with fresh ingredients. Large choice of food, cold or hot plates and pastries as well. The food quality is reasonable and the floor service even in the night is ok. All of them seems to be very young, always trying to smile.

I enjoyed the time spent in this hotel, where i could rest properly in my clean and quiet room. With only 2 dollars the Tuk-Tuk drivers in front of the hotel can drive you to Siem Reap's Pub Street and to the Old Market.

The only "bad" point about this hotel is related the high affluence of Chinese toursits, that usually travel in big groups. That means the breakfast time at the buffet area might be a bit crowded.

By the way was a nice stay with them, especially for the price that I payed.

Andrea

We stayed three days at the Royal Empire and most certainly would return. Our room was comfortably sized and well-kept. As a traveler from the U.S.A., I appreciated the dark cherry wood decor since it provided more of a local feel--something I appreciate when traveling abroad. Yes, the hotel does get many groups but keep in mind, this is a hotel needing its rooms occupied, not a secluded villa. So if you are likely to complain about other hotel guests that may be from countries other than your own, please stay within your own borders or ante up and pay much more for your privacy. Most memorable were the staff at the hotel, their friendliness and their willingness to help. Sokkol, the manager when we arrived, readily helped us throughout our stay in such ways as securing a trusty tuk-tuk driver ($6USD round trip to Pub Street/Night Market area, $15USD for half-day service to the temples), suggesting local activities, directing us to places in town, and taking the time to ensure we experienced the best of Siem Reap. His attention was very genuine and our stay was made more pleasant because of his service. We had an early flight on our departure date and upon check out received our breakfasts packed to go--something we did not request but certainly did appreciate.

We absolutely loved our stay at The Royal Empire Hotel. We booked it for the price but were very pleased with the value we received for it's low price. The pool was wonderful, especially when lit up at night. The rooms were cozy and the decor throughout the hotel was very delightful. Sokkol the manager seemed to always be available for any questions or needs we had and we really enjoyed his customer service skills. We arranged a tuk tuk to the temples through the hotel and we absolutely loved our driver, Mr Suoat. We highly recommend Royal Empire Hotel for your stay in Siem Reap.

The hotel was pretty big and the rooms large and clean. The staff was really friendly and (almost overly) ambitious to serve every need. the pool water was very salty, what you would not expect. (!?)
the price for the laundry service was ridiculously high. (1 dress around 4$)
we highly recommend the khmer-dinner in the restaurant!
9/10 , would stay again.
