“Not everything first class”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 26, 2012

Our first stop in Siem Reap. We had selected the hotel in an effort to find the Cambodian experience often lacking in the major chain hotels. The rooms are beautiful and large with a balcony and all the comforts of a 5 star hotel including an over-priced minibar and a large LCD TV. Then it's mostly downhill. The lobby in spite of all it's teak wood simply fails to impress and is not air-conditioned. The restaurant is equally unimpressive including it's menu. But the poolside terrace is exquisite for breakfast even though the breakfast itself isn't.

And than there is that swimming pool : simply one of the best in Siem Reap because it stays in the shade in the morning. Most other swimming pools are a boiling soup by 10.00 am in April.

The staff is friendly and helpful but be prepared for a few communication problems in English

So if you are temple hunting, want a nice place to sleep and a nice pool to cool down and don't mind eating somewhere else.......this is pretty good for what you pay

Pros:
- Nice swimming pool with a mini-gym
- Near Angkor Wat
- Spacious & beautiful room, multi-channels TV
- Quick check in cos got 1 duty manager that understood and could converse in English
- Soft pillows. One big pillow and one small pillow instead of 2 big pillows per bed

Cons:
- spoilt air-con panel, no free wifi, no free adaptor on loan, lack of English-speaking staffs.
- understaffs in hotel cafe resulting in slow replacement of utensils, food, clearing of tables etc. Friend saw 2 cockroaches ran across the buns
- No tuk-tuk parked outside hotel. Concierge said they only arrange car booking of USD15 to-and-fro
- Bed quite hard

We arrived back from our holiday in Cambodia on 11th match 2012 having had a wonderful experience. The hotel was excellent and offered great staff who looked after us amazingly. Nothing was a trouble and everything was done with a smile and a thank you. The rooms were very clean, with bedding and towels changed every day. The food was great and very well presented. The hotel was well situated for sightseeing, the airport and the city. Could highly recommend it.

Room Tip: The rooms at the front of the hotel on the fifth floor were cool and comfortable.

Great hotel. Inexpensive, clean, with large comfortable rooms. Nice pool area, decent restaurant, nice spa with inexpensive massage on-site. Location is between airport and town, about 15 minutes drive from the ruins. So, downside is you need to take a cab everywhere, but nothing's more than a short, several dollar ride away. Staff are incredibly friendly.

I stayed at this hotel as part of a tour group. It is a four star hotel, probably a low four star hotel. The location is good, not far from the places to see and things to do. And there is a convenience store shop next door, which was handy. The rooms were basic but clean. The buffet breakfast was adequate. The swimming pool looked good but we did not use it. The wireless was so slow that we did not use it although a friend in a different room was able to use it ok.

Bottom line: If I go back to Siem Reap, I would stay in a nicer hotel.

I book 3 room, 2 of them are connecting room. Stay for 5 night.

Check In
At first they gave us the 3rd room at different floor. I told them the hotel has email us and confirm to give us 3 rooms - 2 are connection room , one is just next room ; all at the same floor.
The reception change the 3rd room to same floor.

Rooms
The rooms are spacious and clean.
Rooms come with 2 bottle of water daily and it has 2 slippers.
It is abt 4km away from the town.
Next to the hotel has a small market.

Breakfast.
They clean the dirty plate fast or slow or didn't set the table for the new hotel guest.

Check out
As our flight is 4pm, I requested to extend check up for 1 room til 1pm. They refused.
Only agree after my tour guide has a chat with them.

Overall , the hotel is good.

This is my first visit to Siem Reap, Cambodia. Although the hotel is not in downtown, we did not feel it as such, as we had our bus waiting for us all the time. The breakfast in the hotel was good, except that it had too much catering towards Korean food, probably because the were almost 90% Korean guests at that time.
Room Service was very prompt,
Overall we enjoyed our 4 nights stay there

Room Tip: Rooms facing poolside are good
