Very intricate carvings, great tuk tuk ride, great with the correct sunlight but avoid the tours if you can. Facilities great and I even bought a coffee. Don't miss it. Close to my favorite. And I also got a t shirt for $2.50.

This exquisite pink sandstone temple is covered in carvings and was perfectly restored and the detail is amazing. Walking around it is like reading pages of the Hindu mythology, so read about the carvings beforehand to understand them a little.

Many, many people want to enjoy this wonder and its small size makes it easily overrun. I went there at 7:15 and it was already quite full, it only takes about 30 people for that. I can't imagine how it looks like when the parking lot is full of buses.
If you are a photography buff, consider being there earlier. It's crazy, but the colour of the stone really changes after 8 am.

The exhibition explaining the restoration and Khmer architecture is also very well presented.

Make sure to visit this temple when you are in Angkor Wat! It is exquisite and has a nice pavilion with background information as well. (There is also a decent restaurant there)

Our guide took us the 23 km to Banteay Srei as our first stop, early in the morning. So no crowds and a chance to explore at our own pace and learn of the extent of the sites to see in Siem Reap.

Too many people - I was there mid-day. To do this one again, I'd go early in the morning. Beautiful, surreal.
