“Great modern twist to Khmer food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 18, 2014

We were recommended to visit this restaurant and we were not disappointed from the our first steps into the restaurant. The whole look of the place is relaxed and cosmopolitan and very welcoming. We had no reservation and even though we were shown to a lovely table.

The selection of food on the menu had everything you would expect to see in Khmer food listings but each had a little sparkle that made it special. I think this was due to using the freshest of ingredients and having an open kitchen all added to it. The presentation of the food was great and the modernisation of the food was the best we came across in Cambodia on our whole two week trip. The frog's leg and the beef lok lak were really special. The service was equally as good as the food and the environment of the restaurant was great. The staff were attentive without being intrusive. Had we not made other arrangements or had more time we would have made another trip to the try out some more of the menu.

“A little taste of heaven”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 16, 2014 via mobile

On a free night in Siem Reap we took the concierge's advice to try this extraordinary restaurant. It must be fairly new since some do the tuk tuk drivers were not familiar with the name. We were very pleased with this open air restaurant and it's delightful menu. The Seafood with Kampot Pepper, the Roasted Khmer Chicken, and the Fish Amok were all fantastic.

“10 stars out of 5!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 15, 2014 via mobile

This restaurant was recommended to us by Mr. Pranha, the evening manager of the Jayavara Boutique Villa. The food was excellent but the attentiveness and accommodation of the staff made it even better. Mr. Kim and the other guy working with him were especially kind. We enjoyed our evening here and highly recommend it.

“Top marks!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 15, 2014

Recommended by our hotel concierge, who managed to secure a last minute booking for us on a very busy night Siem Reap. The whole experience was fabulous. A lovely setting, great atmosphere, helpful staff with just the right balance of friendliness and politeness. Every part of our meal was beautifully presented and delicious in taste. Top marks!

“best meal in southeast asia”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 14, 2014 via mobile

Richly flavored yet delicate indigenous dishes made with high quality ingredients and unusual flavorings such as fresh, not dried, peppercorns. Lovely atmosphere and attentive staff. I can't think of a better meal than the one had at Chanrey Tree
