Went based on strength of previous reviews though had not seen the most recent review that mentioned lack of atmosphere.

As the last report says, the food was very good/excellent. The service was slow. This seemed related to the problem that we were seated upstairs but the drinks and food had to be brought upstairs via the same external stairway we used to go upstairs.

The service was charming but slow and it was not as though the place was busy, as it was not. So, had it been busier would it all have been slower stii, verging on unacceptable?

We tried several of the salads as appetisers plus spring rolls. All were excellent. A beef stir fry was a good entree choice but the star was the Kmer roasted chicken that was superb. It was worth the wait.

The main conclusion is that they ought to manage time expectations better.

Overall then it rates as very good but it could be better still and this would draw larger crowds that in turn would improve the atmosphere, and it is spacious enough that accommodating more people would not be a problem.

We enjoyed our evening at Chanrey Tree. The food was delicious, staff attentive and we were glad we made a reservation, so we were able to sit outside in the open air under the roof. The interior of the restaurant is very elegant and decorated in a mix of Asian and modern style. The food was outstanding and on the menu they also offers specials which we tried. We ended up with a three course dinner and a bottle of white wine for 85 USD (2 people). I would defenitely recommend this place.

After walking past and reading trip advisor...we expected more than what we experienced. Due to the rain, we sat upstairs and so this may have played a part. Service was ok... Everyone was polite and welcoming but we had to ask for a number of things several times. Food was lovely... Delicious in fact. The most disappointing was the atmosphere, the staff were very warm and friendly however we found the room upstairs a little sterile.

Our hotel recommended this restaurant which is a relatively new restaurant in Siem Reap. It is a welcome addition! We loved the decor, service and food. The staff were excellent. Very attentive, helpful and very friendly. Everyone talked about the sticky rice which we tried and it was delicious. We actually ordered too many things but everything looked so good! We would definitely come back for another great dinner.

What an amazing treat in Siem Reap. Located within a short walk of the Pub St Precinct, along the river, it is a little Oasis. The staff are so so attentive, loving what they do, enjoying reserved but very friendly interactions with us. Such pride and attention to detail was evident during the 2, yes 2 nights we ate there.
The decor was modern crisp and comfortable. The little things were in place ..mozzie coils, candles and delightful tableware.
As for the food.. well, some of the nicest we have had in SR. Tradional with a twist of modern. The Roast Chicken leaves my "sunday Roast' for dead. The wine list was good, with a reasonable selection by the glass
The staff were great and interested in hearing about Australia, and oh so proud to talk about Cambodia. We were so warmly welcomed the 2nd visit, I was truly humbled.
Prices are really very reasonable. I do wish them well.
