Description: Known for its superb coffee and a distinctly inner city vibe, The Hive is a bustling social hub for expats and tourists alike. Since its conception in 2013, this Australian owned, locally managed cafe has cemented itself as Siem Reap favourite. If you're a coffee lover, a brunch goer, a juice detoxer, or simply looking for a touch of home, The Hive awaits.

The Hive is a wonderful establishment just outside the hustle and hustle of the Old Market. Delicious food, legitimate coffee, fruit juices and shakes make the menu a sight for sore eyes if healthier options and good coffee are something you seek.

In addition to the food and drink, the clean and modern space with air-conditioning makes The Hive a great escape on a hot afternoon.

Last, but certainly not least the music at the cafe is meticulously hand selected by the owner to create that hard to find cafe atmosphere that fosters reading a book, chatting with friends, holding business meetings or just a place to escape the Cambodian heat.

What a relief to stumble across this little cafe.
After suffering the dreaded travellers tummy i had become a little gun shy in the trying new foods department
I was delighted to find this Aussie run cafe in Siem Reap where i could grill the owner on ice in drinks etc.
I was told if it's tubular with holes the ice is fine to have in Siem Reap
Yay!!! a cold drink at last
We had a delicious freshly made juice and yummy Vegetable Roti
This cafe has a great local feel about it and is popular with the expat community here.
I would recommend it as a quick lunch spot and it's reasonably priced too.

The menu offers a modest but uniquely varied selection of enticing meals, and the food does not disappoint. We have returned repeatedly to experience yet another appealing dish from each category, and all have been consistently delicious.

On food alone, The Hive might warrant a four-plus rating, but the service has proven somewhat lacking. The Khmer staff are friendly and effective when available, but there have been repeated instances where we were not greeted and the storefront remained empty of personnel for many minutes at a time. And the Western owners/managers? seem generally melancholy and unwelcoming. Improve on the staff professionalism and availability, and The Hive should be a great success here in Siem Reap!

The Hive is a small restaurant with great offerings. I love The Cure. It is a great breakfast with potatoes, eggs, bacon, and a spicy kick. It is a cure for what ails you and it is a great way to start the day. It is a nice neighborhood cafe with a very friendly feel. Good food and good service.

The Hive is just around the corner from my current home in Siem reap and I just managed to visit it this morning. Located just behind Angkor Riveria hotel, this small but nice looking cafe serves western and local snacks, sandwiches and other interesting dishes. We tried the salmon breakfast, the cinnamon pancake and coffees. All done to exceptional standards. Prices are the same as most other outlets of this standard.
I will visit this outlet again in the evening to try out their cocktails.
