We returned to Siem Reap again and, of course, stayed at the Borei again. The hotel facilities are great. It’s location is close to perfect - a quick tuk tuk (actually called remorque in Cambodia but everyone calls them tuk tuks!} ride to the old town with its shops, markets and cafes/restaurants/bars, and within easy range of the temples (again we recommend a trip by tuk tuk to get a better experience!). The swimming pool is great to relax by or in after a trip to the temples. The breakfast is outstanding. Such a range of freshly prepared food to treat such a range of cuisines - from noodles and spicy breakfasts to bacon & eggs and omelettes and those more usual for Europeans and North Americans from indulgent to healthy. Sometimes there just seems too much choice! But those great reasons aren’t why we keep returning to this superb hotel. We keep returning because, as well as the great facilities and stunning bedrooms, the staff are just so friendly, helpful and responsive. We’ve recommended this hotel to a number of friends without hesitation and all of those who’ve then visited have told us what a great time they had too.
A word of warning though - don’t treat yourself to their special poolside barbecue unless you have a great appetite! More
