“Perfect Place to Relax!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 17, 2012

We read a lot of excellent reviews about the hotel but was not expecting much since we got the rooms at a very low price so we were expecting so- so service. Much to our amazement and pleasure, we were treated like queens during the duration of our stay. Upon arrival we were given welcome drinks and tasty mini local desserts. The staff processed our check in while we were enjoying their wifi in the lobby. The following day, in our excitement to go out to explore the temples, we fogot to lock the room safe and only realized it when we got back 9 hrs later. The manager left a note informing us that they have secured the safe with their own code. Everything was intact. Very honest, friendly, approachable and accomodating staff. We also enjoyed authentic
Khmer meal in their restaurant at a very affordable price.
Would definitely stay here again if we go back to Siam Reap!

This was our first trip to Cambodia and we absolutely loved the experience largely due to the friendly staff at our hotel, the Borei Angkor Resort & Spa. The hotel rooms are large, clean and well appointed, we enjoyed a shower both inside and a private outdoor one on our balcony. The breakfast buffet was fantastic with a variety of food, including eggs and crepes made to order. The crowning jewel of this hotel, however, was the friendly and professional staff. While we enjoyed all staff of the hotel, we particularly enjoyed all the staff of the Tropicanabar Pool Side, and received excellent service and learned about the Cambodian culture from Chhay Sam Ann.

Room Tip: We had an excellent room on the fourth floor of the old building. It was large, quiet and very priv...

Despite some construction at this hotel we highly recommend this resort. A short tuk tuk ride to temples or town but a true resort atmosphere. The rooms are clean and the bathrooms are spotless and huge. The breakfast included is amazing you hardly need another meal all day! The staff are all friendly and very professional and they speak excellent English. We travel a lot and this is one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in particularly for the price. We love this hotel and Siem Reap in general

We have just stayed in this hotel from sept11 to 14. We enjoyed it very much. First, the hotel gives a very warm welcome to her guests. All the staff were friendly be they at the door, at the step, at the reception, in their coat. The room is clean and big, with a huge toilet. The swimming pool is nice and cosy. we enjoy the steam and jacuzzi but it start to late. 10am is too late. if we swim at 7am , we cannot enjoy the facility . We tried the message, excellent. We only have breakfast in the hotel, which is good but three days we seem to have the same menu. it would be nice the change menu alternatively.
now the hotel is having renovation, i could expect it to be far better when it is done. wish i can come back again. even just to stay in the hotel and enjoy the facilities and the messages.

Room Tip: ask to face the swimming pool if you dont like to see houses.

Tripadvisor highly rated this property but words can't do it justice. The hotel is absolutely beautiful (despite minor construction on a new entrance) and well maintained. The staff was friendly, helpful, and always greeting us. As a former professor of Travel Industry Management in Hawaii, I can say that Borei Angkor is a classic textbook case of how to run a hotel. The beautiful live music in the reception area set the pace for a great four day stay. The bountiful buffet was delicious and the dinner was also excellent. The hotel is not in the center of Siem Reap but it only cost a couple of bucks for a tuk tuk to the Centro and the ride acquainted us with the city which is very nice. All I can say is don't consider anywhere else if you go to Siem Reap. I'll be back.

Room Tip: I can't imagine any room here would not be great. We enjoyed a room overlooking the pool with a...

Everything about this excellent hotel was simply worth it. Upon arriving my wife and I were warmly welcomed by the staff and the reception area was luxurious. It definitely took away the exhaustion out of a six-hour bus ride from Phnom Pehn. The room amenities were superb. Wifi was available, as well as indoor and outdoor tubs. At times, it is an effort in our part to leave our room. The restaurant offered a wide array of cuisines from traditional Khmer to Western dishes. After a day of long walks and climbs through the temples at Siem Reap, going back to Borei Angkor is always a welcome treat. It reflects the tranquil elegance of the rich Cambodian culture.

Room Tip: Treat yourself to the Honeymoon Suite.

After staying in a series of backpacker joints, we couldn't have been more enthralled with the luxury of Borei. The rooms were beautiful, the poolside was picturesque and the service was topnotch. The included breakfast buffet was a delicious feast not to be missed. The staff was helpful and friendly, although a bit disorganized at times. And for a mere 50$ a night, this place was an absolute steal. Wish we could have stayed longer!
