This is an excellent spot to relax and appreciate Siem Reap away from the madness of the city, but still close enough to be able to explore the area. Staff is very friendly and the resort is gorgeous and clean. The Cambodian houses are expertly converted, luxurious, authentic and very comforatble. The monks chanting in the background add that magical touch!

Our only disappointment was children screaming at the pool area (we were there during the Chinese New Year when, apparently, a lot of expats go on holiday). Management needs to set some rules, like no jumping, diving or ball games by the pool etc., and make sure that all their guests are able to fully enjoy their stay. Otherwise, a ten on ten!

Room Tip: Room number ten was fabulous, not too close to the pool but still enjoying great views.

This was a real find. Tucked away on a quiet street 10 minutes from the city centre the hotel alone was worth the trip. It is just glorious. The rooms, classic Khmer teak houses transported to a beautiful garden site, are a delight - separated as they are by miniature paddy. A lovely infinity pool, wonderful and helpful staff and good food all go to make a hotel we will surely visit again given the chance.

Room Tip: We were in a room near the restaurant and I would guess that if that was full with late night revellers it might be noisy however we didn't have this problem. Might be worth checking.

Wow, excellent service, amazing little houses, #11 Feng shui was perfect even if I don't know how to spell it. We would go to Siem Reap just for this hotel! Thanks for a lovely retreat! They provide a private driver. The grounds are exquisite with tiny rice paddies interspersed in the landscape.
The restaurant provides a diverse exquisite lay tasting menu. There are 2 AC in each house which work very comfortably.

During our first trip to Cambodia my wife and I experienced the sheer luxury of a stay at Sala Lodges. Adrian and his team have created an atmospheric haven amongst the busy environment of Siem Reap.Superb comfort, superb surroundings, superb food, superb service are all offered by the very attentive staff for whom nothing is too much trouble. Advice on touring is freely given and the reception will even book a Tuc Tuc for you and charge the cost to your room - so much more convenient. Our stay here has left us with wonderful memories of a very special place. Thanks again to all the team at Sala Lodges.

After traveling around the world and escaping westernized hotels, there is a slice of traditional charm in Siem Reap (finally). This family run boutique hotel is perfect for families, couples or a solo escape.

All of the details are original and it feels like you've stepped into a traditional village. Food was great and the owner will even take you on a personal late night tour of the town.

If you are looking for a small bland box with dodgy gym and business center - go elsewhere.
