“Perfectly wonderful and wonderfully perfect!!!”
Reviewed February 24, 2014 via mobile

We stayed here for three nights in February and it is by far the best hotel we stayed in during our one month trip.

Vivi is the most caring hostess. We were running late for our horse-riding appointment but needed to get cash out, so Vivi leant us the money and said we could pay her back later. I broke my hair tie and she gave me one of hers to use in the pool. She organised our tuk tuks and transport and laundry was cheap to get done.

The staff are cheerful and attentive. The room we had was large, well-appointed and tastefully stylish.

I do not have enough words of praise to do this outstanding team justice!
Bravo Vivi and staff! We hope to see you all again.

This hotel was perfect! The hotel was just the right size and well appointed. The staff was friendly and accommodating. They set up all of outings, hooked us up with trusted drivers, and served us delicious food! When I'm back in Siem Reap I'll be sure to stay here again. There's no reason to look anywhere else!

Of all the hotels during our travels in South East Asia, this was the one in which we felt most at home. Vivi, the manager and all of the staff go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. Vivi offers great advice on tours, itineraries, tuk tuk drivers, restaurants and much more!

Our room (F7) was very nice - basic, but large, clean, comfortable and containing everything we needed. We unfortunately had a very loud gecko (we named him Gabriel) living above my pillow on the window. I had to wear earplugs at night as his sociable chatter, which was like a dolphin crossed with a crow, kept waking me. Geckos are everywhere in Cambodia though and they are harmless, so it's not a criticism.

There was complimentary water available in the reception, but not in the rooms. This was fine once we realised that we could refill our bottles there at any time.

The pool is lovely, especially after a hot day at the temples. The fresh juices and cocktails at the bar are excellent (fresh coconut and fresh pineapple juice in the piña colada as an example).

Breakfast is available all day, which is something I've never seen in a hotel before. This is such a great feature, especially if you go to Angkor Wat for sunrise, as you can come back for breakfast afterwards. The breakfast is good, but you need to make sure you are not in a rush, as it's à la carte and cooked to order. There are 10 options and all will leave you pleasantly full, which was a welcome change from my inability to eat sensibly at breakfast buffets.

Last point in my very lengthy review is that the laundry service is the best value that we have seen in SE Asia, so get your laundry done here. I spent $17 on laundry in Phnom Penh, but my husband was charged $3 in Rumahmu for around the same amount! They charge by the kilo here rather than by item.

Definitely stay here. It's 10 mins walk to Pub Street, the staff are great and it has a family-run boutique feel to it.

I don't know how this sweet place, in a great setting, could have been any better. Vivi, the excellent, beautiful hostess/owner (she seemed to always be on duty), the house keepers/wait staff, tuk tuk drivers that were called, everyone exhibited kind, friendly, most professional service. Food excellent, the place gleams, in a quite location, but a 12 minute walk from all the action. Great job Vivi.

Room Tip: The third floor has a big open space for sitting/reading, watching the crocs next door. all rooms I...

From the efficient pick-up at the airport, the warm welcome from Vivi when you check-in, the plentiful breakfast each day and the constantly friendly Khmer staff this is a great place to stay.

I thoroughly enjoyed my four nights at Rumahmu. The double room was a good size, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The bathroom was well proportioned with plentiful hot water after about 30 seconds and at a good pressure. The breakfast choice is good for a hotel of this size and the coffee is great.

Vivi is a marvellous hostess - leaves you alone when you want privacy but is convivial when you want to discuss your itinerary ideas and travel arrangements or just chat about life in Siem Reap.

A wonderful experience and I will definitely stay again if/when I next visit the area.

Top tip - get your laundry done. They charge by the kilo (USD 1.50) and it is returned quickly and ironed/pressed too.

We stayed here five nights and it was, without doubt, our favorite hotel in a month-long journey across several countries. They are incredibly warm, friendly, and helpful. The rooms are lovely and spotless. Breakfast is fantastic (and available all day.) The pool is great. And we loved the location -- we were thrilled to not be in the middle of Pub Street, but an easy 10 minute walk away, in a quiet neighborhood.
