After walking for hours in the heat it was nice to relax in a comfy chair, under a fan and be attended to immediately with a nice cold beer and watch the world go by.
Staff are smiling and friendly, food is cheap and delicious.
Give it a try, life is good and uncomplicated in this part of the world.

Great prices, fantastic food, great setting, good service. Absolutely no complaints. Beef Tendrloin steak was done medium to order on a charcoal grill which is very hard to find in North America. The fact that it cost $6.50 was amazing. Can't go wrong here if looking for a change from Cambodian food.

Passion fruit ice cream is perfect - SO flavourful.

Have been here twice this week and will definitely go back.

The menu does have more expensive western items, but you can still eat for $5.

Have had the felafel burger and the Khmer Beef curry, both delicious.

The staff speak great English and are so friendly.

Cocktails are more expensive than ($3-6), but are the best! Passionfruit mojito's are amazing.

Walking around with young kids in Pub Street, we saw some popular places that didn't look quite conducive for a family meal and then spotted The Sun at the corner across Red Piano. It just stood out, looking so refreshing and wholesome so we decided to have our lunch here.

The decor is very tasteful. Casual rustic but cosmopolitan. Happy to find their menu offered a good variety of Western food and a few Asian food that was not the usual Amok, Curry, etc. My children were happy with their fish 'n chips and carbonara. We asked for vinegar to dip the fish 'n chips with, and to my surprise, they brought out a bottle of malt vinegar! Certainly didn't expect that. I ordered the roast chicken with honey marinade with black pepper sauce which turned out to be very good--it came with steamed rice and a dipping sauce made of lime, salt and Cambodian Kampot ground black pepper which smelled so good. It's a good place to have a meal in if you're tired of the local or 'fusion local' dishes and just want a taste of good burgers, fries, pastas, fish, etc.. It's also a good place for a snack or coffee. We stayed here for a bit and noted that all guests were tourists.

Just being in this place refreshed our spirits!

We had lunch here twice in one week: great european food and casual atmosphere with excellent service. Lovely street setting and calm casual atmosphere, one of the better places in the city for lunch.
