I'm picky when it comes to accommodation. I came across V&A here on tripadvisor and I agree with all the excellent reviews people left after staying here. Andy and his wife Valeak (not sure if I spelled it right) run the guesthouse and go over the top to make each guest happy. They both speak English, so communication is not a problem. The place itself is brand new, I believe is was opened in December of 2012. Our room was spacious, clean and it had a small fridge, fan and AC. Breakfast was very good - fresh bread, jam, coffee, eggs and lots of fruit. V&A is about half a mile from downtown, but it was not a problem for us since we always walk everywhere. If you don't feel like walking take tuk tuk.
I would definitely stay here again.

Having stayed in Siem Reap a couple of years ago I was amazed at the amount of development that has occurred in that short time. For this reason I chose V&A Villa, for the very reason that it is just a short hop from the town centre and thus quieter and less dusty than places in the main loop. (Makes for a very peaceful night's sleep.)
Well, wow, I have not been disappointed. From the moment I arrived I was treated like family by the owners Andy and Voleak, and indeed by all their staff. The rooms are large and airy, and extremely well appointed - as good as, or better, than some much more expensive hotels in my opinion. Everything is spotless and the staff very helpful. Andy and Voleak are a mine of advice on the best use of your time in Siem Reap. The outside bar area makes this feel like a real 'home from home'! Would highly recommend to anyone.

Stayed there on my visit in Siem Reap and very happy with the place and people. My bus was about four hours late and not knowing the city I was really happy to see tuk-tuk driver waiting for me. The rooms are spacious and clean, breakfast is nice and the whole atmosphere homey. You can be sure to get good advice and pleasant conversation. On my stay there most of the city was out of electricity for three days due the accident on the road. Voleak and Andy did their best to keep us comfortable and entertained. Loved the bbq and singing on last night.

After a long trip on three flights from the UK we were extremely pleased to see the bright orange V&A sign as we left the airport terminal, and the whole experience only got better from there on.

The guesthouse is completely as described on their website, clean comfortable and great value, and there is a great relaxed vibe around the whole guesthouse. But it is the staff there who really make the experience, all of whom go over and above what you would normally expect. The lads who work there are extremely helpful, and fantastic entertainment to boot! All their 'on hand tuktuk drivers are reliable, trustworthy and good value. Andy and Voleak (the owners) are very friendly and will go out of their way to ensure you get the most out of your time at Angkor, whatever you want to do!

One thing we were quite keen to see was the floating village, but had heard mixed reviews about the quality and price of the organised tours. Voleak actually arranged a personal tour for us, to a completely different floating village where her brother lives. She came with us to the village, gave us her own personal tour of the village and lake, and even took us to her brother's house for lunch! (It's not the kind of place where there are bars and restaurants for the comfort of tourists!) Overall a fantastic day, probably the highlight of our stay! (Not detracting at all from the magnificence of Angkor Wat and the other temples!)

We can't recommend these guys highly enough. We'd like to return to Siem Reap just to catch up with the guys at V&A again!!

Room Tip: Superior doubles are huge and ours had a balcony we weren't expecting!!

With such a huge range of choice for accommodation in Siem Reap how do you know where is the best place to stay? Well look no further you have found it!

V&A Villa is a new luxury (yet affordable) guesthouse and it has everything you could ever want or need in a guesthouse. The rooms are fantastic, newly built and decorated you can forget moldy walls and rotting beds you wont see one room with those things in them. The beds are extremely comfortable and the rooms are fantastic, spacious and airy and clean. Breakfast served every morning including freshly made plunger coffee. A great outdoor area to sit and talk or read and use the free wifi or watch khmer music channels with the staff. Whatever you want to do or like to do you can do it here at V&A.

The Service goes above and beyond for all customers. Andy and Voleak are two of the most friendly and helpful hosts you will ever come across. They would do anything for anyone including running out in the middle of the night to grab something from a supermarket that a guest needs to dropping people anywhere they need to go themselves if need be. All the other staff are very helpful and friendly from the cleaners to the chef and the tuk tuk drivers.

There is a real family and friendly atmosphere at V&A that is missing from most other guest houses and you will enjoy every moment of your stay at this wonderful place.

So the question is why aren't you booking your stay there right now?

To book and be assured that you are getting your airport pick up or a specific requirement that you need please visit their website. This is the easiest and most direct way to get in touch with Andy and Voleak and ensure that your requirements are met and gives that personal touch to the booking also.

Room Tip: All rooms are fantastic no matter where you are put you will be happy!

This place was originally the 2nd option on our list, however, we are so glad we stayed here! Andy is a top bloke and sorted everything out nice and sharpish even though we were a walk in. The rooms were so clean, practically brand new. All the staff we top blokes especially the tuk tuk driver who put up with us when we went to Angkor wat when we were so hungover. They also sorted out our travel to phnom penh which was a big help! Overall the price, rooms and people were top class. V & A is pretty unknown as of yet so make sure you take a card with the address when you go out on the lash because you'll get stuck in a tuk tuk for a while finding it, but that doesn't fault an excellent place in anyway! Thank you Andy and all for the stay. And the cheeky whiskey he sent us on our way with. Top place!

V&A is a luxury guesthousen that has only been open a couple of months. The owners are an English and Cambodian couple and go out of their way to make sure their guests are happy. They have some fabulous staff around them and the 2 resident tuk tuk drivers are superb, friendly (a little bit mad, in a good way) and everyone speaks very good English. Their knowledge of the Angkor complex enabled us to see the best of the vast complex that is Angkor and to pick the best times to avoid the crowds. The hotel offers free pick up on arrival by bus or air and they run you into the town at any time for a flat $1 fee. When we arrived at the bus station we were met with a beaming smile from Voleak, the wife of Andy and co-owner of the hotel, and we never saw the smile leave her face the whole 4 days we were there, even though they were particularly busy with a large group that arrived together and filled up the hotel. Voleak was born in Siem Reap, while Andy spent a long time travelling in the region before they met. Both of them are therefore interesting to talk to and have a wealth of knowledge they are happy to pass on, about Siem Reap and Cambodia in general. The atmosphere is like staying with one big happy family and you feel a part of that family as soon as you arrive. The rooms are well fitted and furnished and the location is in a very quiet area of the town, about 2km from the popular "Pub Street", although the owners are happy to suggest some more authentic places to eat, should you wish. We had a brilliant and memorable stay there and wish Andy & Voleak all the deserved success for the future.

Room Tip: We had a top floor room, which was huge and had a private terrace. The fridge contained a range of c...
