Description: Marum features a winning mix of creative local cuisine, and is named after the Moringa, or 'Tree of life' - very appropriate, as customers will be enjoying a fantastic dining experience that helps build a new life for the students in training there!

We had a wonderful meal served by very warm, helpful and considerate staff. It is a little away from the busy town centre but well worth a visit

Creating a career for kids off the streets is by itself to be applauded, when it involves superb food and excellent service it gets even better, and to know you are contributing is great.Only a couple of minutes out of town in a beautiful courtyard it is a must do when in Siem Reap.

I always wanted to try the "Red Ant Fritters". Not bad for insects. The waiting staff is made up of Street Kids. Naturally there is a trainer with them all the time.

Restaurants like Marum really should be supported. They provide valuable education and training to local Khmer chefs, whilst offering an interesting menu of local cuisine. Ant fritters are not for everyone (including me), but they add some excitement to a fun menu.
Trainee servers do not provide the highest quality of service, but the effort they make is commendable.

It's nice to treat yourself to great food when you are on holiday, but when you do so at Marum, you know you are also helping to support a charity that is retraining former street children. Novel and delicious dishes and drinks, excellent friendly service and a pleasant retreat from the hustle and bustle of the town. Before you leave, visit the shop to pick up some reasonably priced gifts to take home for family and friends.
