First night in Siem Reap and what a find. Lovely food and such caring attention from the team. Singing from the Christian Church next door added to the experience. Perfect.

If we had gone there the first night, we would have only kept going back...! The food is creative and delicious. We had the pork belly on rice crackers which was a really well balanced dish. the duck croquettes are also yummy!
They serve interesting alcoholic and non- alcoholic drinks incorporating local fruits and syrups. Service is attentive because the students are closely aided by their teachers.

This place was our favourite restaurant in Siem Reap - and we tried many of the other highly rated places including Touich, Tangram Garden, Sala Bai, Abacus and FCC. We visited twice, and would have come back again if we had the time...

The actual physical premises are very striking at first sight - the buildings are super cool and the garden is very atmospheric with fairylight strings in the trees. The outdoor setting is perfect - just cozy enough to be intimate, but spaced out so that you're not on top of other diners. The service here is charming and frankly, beautiful. Whoever has been responsible for training the staff here has done a marvellous job - everyone was attentive, intuitive and uber-respectful. Every time a dish arrived, it came with a big smile and a bashful approval-seeking look. Quite humbling...

The menu itself is quite adventurous, and very comprehensive. Whilst the Red Ant fritters weren't to everyone's liking, it was cool to try them, and the only blip was the palm sugar braised pork belly on rice cakes - these were bland. Everything else was perfect - the lotus, jackfruit and coriander hommous, the coconut, beetroot and palm heart salad, the green papaya salad with beef, the fish amok, and the ginger & basil meatballs. Oh, the meatballs - we just kept ordering those little beauties.

Couple all this up with great drinks (the coconut shake is a standout) and decent wine by the glass at ridiculously reasonable prices, and you have all the ingredients for a magic evening. If you come on a Saturday night the church next door has it's weekly singalong, so the dulcet tones of the signing faithful is quite a nice accompaniment.

If you come to Siem Reap and miss Marum, you've really missed out...

This place is a ran by the same organisation as Friends and Romdang in Phnom Penh. The setting is the best in Cambodia by far, feels like you are on an island. The lit up garden and tranquil setting is a winner. All the food and drinks my friends and I got we're fantastic, inventive and full of flavour. The fruit shakes the best I have had and the tapas style lets you try different fusion tastes. Go here before you won't get a table soon, Aussie's will enjoy this place immensely! A lovely place for your last night in town or a special night out.

Not yet on the restaurant trail (perhaps a good thing). Food very fresh and well presented - lighting a bit dim making menu reading a little difficult (torches supplied if requested). Staff very attentive - seems one student to each table. Also fans were provided again by request. The garden setting is beautiful and there is a play area provided for children! Certainly requires a second visit if we get back to Seim Reap. Travelscene tour leader (Laos quide) recommended this place - great!!
