Description: Marum features a winning mix of creative local cuisine, and is named after the Moringa, or 'Tree of life' - very appropriate, as customers will be enjoying a fantastic dining experience that helps build a new life for the students in training there!

Hands down, the best dining experience we had in Cambodia. The dishes and cocktails were delicious, fresh, and creative. The setting was beautiful. But the real gem lies at the heart of this restaurant, where kids with the deck stacked against them are given the tools and the chance to create a brighter future for themselves and their families. Service here came with a genuine smile, and we would go back in a heartbeat.

This restaurant was a great finding in Siem Reap. We were at the Heritage Suites (Relais & Chateaux), which is less than 100 meters from the restaurant, so had the opportunity to eat at Marum twice in 5 days. Each time, tried different things. You can't go wrong - creative dishes, mixing traditional Cambodian ingredients with a modern twist. Try several dishes, they are small and perfect to share. Even the more "challenging" dishes, such as the red ant croquettes, were delicious. And the passion fruit and sugar cane freeze was awesome. Deserts were a bit disappointing though. But definitely a great experience. Highly recommended.

Our hotel suggested the restaurant and some of the other guests had enjoyed it so we gave it a try.
Going down a back street in the tut-tut it is a nice surprise to arrive at a sophisticated looking place with a beautiful courtyard and lively atmosphere (less lively inside - try to book a courtyard table).
Staff were perhaps too numerous, but were attentive and efficient. We ate fried dumplings, meatballs and fish cakes. Sounds boring - but trust me it wasn't. Lovely subtle flavors in each one. Good selection of small dishes, allows you to choose a few, share and sample more food.
Good value too - my wife spent more in the gift shop than we did on dinner!

A well run social business with first class food, drinks and atmosphere. Kids play area suitable to families, and a great way to educate our children the value of social giving. My 9 year old loved the dining experience and the positive social value that the restaurant is creating for marginalised youth. Must go in Siem Reap

This restaurant was only about 50 metres from our hotel - Heritage Suites, so gave it a try. it is apparently a training restaurant for kids coming off the streets, so staff wear T shirts saying either "Teacher" or "Student." But anyhow, the food was excellant and the place was very busy - fortunately we booked the day before.
Probably a bit difficult to find - but the Tuk Tuk drivers will know where it is !!
