Just returned from a 3 night stay in Golden Temple. Spacious room (for a budget hotel), free welcome drink (and snacks too!), reasonably priced food, free pick-up from airport, free massage, free bicycle rental (which I did not take due to rainy weather) and cheap price... what more can I ask? We absolutely felt welcome here with the 5 star service, Mr. Ratana personally help us to arrange all our tour, tickets and tuk-tuk. Would I stay here again? without a doubt!

All I can say to Golden Butterfly Villa - Don't Change a Thing! You are perfect! What a beautiful reprieve from chaotic and hot Siem Reap! We absolutely loved our stay here! The staff are beautiful people inside and out and will assist you with anything you need. The rooms are modern yet feel traditional. They are a great size and each have an awesome balcony!!! They even remember your name and greet you in the morning! The food at the villa is amazing!! Best sticky rice we have ever had!!
I will definitely stay here again!!!!!

the most incredible staff you'll ever meet. They welcomed us with iced tea, banana chips or peanuts, and cold towels every day when we arrived to the hotel, took the time to learn our names and always checked if there was something they could do for us. The room rate includes an hour's massage for every guest and the masseurs are wonderful (although beware, their pajamas are not for women size 16 (US) or up, so bring your own). The approach wasn't so great when we arrived, but at the end of our third day they had almost completely paved the driveway.
Nice, firm bed and good bedding. Really good water pressure in shower.
Good international TV channels and they provide a DVD player (Killing Fields and a doc on Angkor Wat in room). Short walk to pub street, and if you ask for an airport pickup they provide a tuktuk, who will take you to the hotel for free if you retain them for your visits to the temples. Our driver, Koy, made our trip even better.
Our departing flight was in the early evening. We asked if we could keep our room until 1pm so we could do a morning tour, and they gave it to us until 4pm.
The breakfast is not included in the room rate, but it's quite good and reasonably priced. Two complaints about the hotel is that the breakfast took a long time to arrive, and the towels just spread the water on your skin instead of absorbing it. Beware, if you have bad knees or other physical issues, that there is no elevator, although I am sure they would make sure you'd have a room on the first floor if you let them know.
In short - one of the best stays I've had, even comparing to much more expensive hotels. Will absolutely stay with them again if I return.

Room Tip: make sure you ask for a room on a lower floor if you have a hard time with stairs, as there is no el...

The staff are absolutely marvelous. Location is great. Value for money is there! I mean, you get attention from staff with all these nice things as cold towels on each come-back to the hotel, cold tea and snacks. Rooms are spacious, clean and what I thought was really nice - a dvd player with some dvd`s about Cambodian history and Angkor Wat - a great touch! Free bicycles, option to book transport and excursions. Free massage session for each guest. Totally great. This is probably the best place I have stayed at in a long time.

Wonderful friendly staff. The room (standard double with balcony) was not big but clean & generally comfortable; (there was no plug in the basin and the shower curtain fell down). The balcony was small and overlooked a carport and waste area. However it was very good value. The location was perfect - down a quiet little street but very central and within easy walking distance of markets and restaurants.

For $18\night you are never quite sure what you are going to get, but this hotel really is a bargain. For your money you get a welcome drink, a free massage, packed meals for the temples, a lovely foyer, friendly staff, a spacious and spotless room and so much more. It is also only a couple of minutes from Pub St and feels very safe. Great Choice!

Very friendly Staff. Support on any request. Central but still very relaxed and not noisy. Free massage is very good too.
We booked our trip to angkor wat one day before at the reception and they still made it possible to get a guide - which i realla recommend! Prices are very fair almost the same as on street...
