The highlight of our visit to Siem Reap was Chhaya's very informative, well-paced, and enthusiastic private tour. Our first stop was Angkor Wat at sunrise, and Chhaya showed extensive knowledge about the religious structure, down to the smallest details on the relief panels on the sides of the gallery. He was very accommodating, altering the itinerary when we wanted to postpone lunch, skip or add a temple, provided us with great lunch suggestions, and dropped us off at the airport after our second day of touring! I suspect any trip to Angkor might be monumental, but I believe it would be such a waste to not visit the temples with Chhaya. He greeted other tour guides at temples, made casual conversation with locals and small children, and generally exuded good will and enthusiasm about life. His energy was contagious, and at the end of the day, that attitude set the tone for the entire trip.
