We stumbled across this restaurant when trying to find Wanderlust and we so happy we found great Indian in Siem Reap that we ate there everyday. The masala dosa is the best we've had outside of India as is the masala chai. The chef and owner are from South Kerala so you know your getting the real deal. The waitresses are gorgeous and look beautiful in their saris.

This is a tiny little restaurant in a small alley close to pub street, near the Khmer restaurant. After a difficult time finding good vegetarian food in Cambodia we came here basis trip advisor reviews and were not disappointed. The fruit lassi was very good and the dosas very crisp. The South Indian food was almost authentic. Drinks are also served. Good option for north and South Indian and a very safe and tasty bet for vegetarians.

We tried this place after mistakenly eating in the very sub-par Samsara further down the street. The Kerala is altogether different - honest, good and fresh cooking from the Indian chef. We returned this evening in need of a vegetarian meal and again were not disappointed. The lassis are excellent, by the way. Hope the owner/chef manages to keep going.

We were talking down rainy siem reap in old market area. Was surprised to see kerala food. We went this afternoon for lunch. My husband had masala uthapam. It was very good, their dips/chutney's were authenctic and so was sambhar. I did try south indian thali. Was good, except for one veg had little more salt. They gave rotis too, which was edible. You have choice or nan too..Anyways,we were impressed.

Apparently this is a relatively new restaurant and it is at the end of a lane of restaurants, so not in an ideal position you would think. Anyway, fairly unimpressed with the Kmer food I had been eating, I thought I would try the Kerala. The dosa's either masala, plain or other were superb, crispy but moist at the same time. The accompaniments were absolutely delicious. I have eaten Thali there too, vegetarian and chicken and both were generous servings and delicious. The non-alcoholic drinks eg lassis, juices, tea were superb as well. There was alcohol if you wanted it. The service was lovely and friendly. The restaurant had inside and outside seating, and I am sure Mr Deepak the chef and owner, will need to expand the size of his restaurant soon. And it was terrific value. Quite unbelievable in a tourist hub like Siem Reap. I would recommend the Kerala Restaurant to anyone and ended up eating there most nights I stayed in Siem Reap. The food was that good.
