Owner description: Having undergone minimal restoration, stone pillars and carvings intertwine with massive tree roots and jungle in this stunning temple complex.

Certainly up there amongst the "must see" temples of the area. The trees growing through the stonework are quite incredible. Our guide (Mr Sim) took us in by a totally deserted side entrance and, for the first few minutes, we had the place almost to ourselves. Our guide didn't hesitate in telling several groups of visitors (adults old enough to know better) to get off the walls they were climbing all over - as they tried to compose "interesting" photographs of each other. I've never been able to understand the "look at me standing in front of......" mentality. Still, pity the poor folks back home who'll have to endure viewing their holiday snaps in due course......

We sat quietly in a corner while our kids drew the temple... An amazing experience if you can just sit down and think, rather than rush through temple after temple... If only have time for one, then chose Ta Prohm

The first temple I visited in a series of temple visits lined up for the day. Definitely, one of my favorites among the temples at Angkor Wat complex and probably, the best 'tree-in-temple' photo opportunities. I really felt I was Lara Croft, climbing and hopping from one temple to another, in this very huge and sprawling complex. offering a jungle atmosphere with its massive fig and silk-cotton trees growing from the towers and corridors.

One word to describe the experience: Awesome!!!

Ta Prohm was one of the temples I wanted to see the most.
We came there were early in the morning, to escape the big crowds.
The temple area is really beautiful! The old trees covering the huge stone bricks is simply amazing and always worth a picture!
The problem at the moment is, that there are serious reparations going on.....of course they must be done and are important, but the workers take over almost the entire place and it disturbs the few a lot. As well they are very noisy.
Let's hope that in a few month or years, when everything is repaired or reconstructed this place will get its silent hidden beauty back.
