We stayed for a week last year en route to Vietnam. The Amansara offers the perfect way to visit Angkor Wat at dawn and experience peace and privacy before the crowds. The hotel offered us a varied itinerary visiting other sites every day. Our pool villa, facilities and service were excellent.

After a busy day of exploring the temples and countryside, this is the perfect retreat to come home to. The minimalist style, excellent service and delicious meals ensure you can switch off and relax. All house beverages are included in room rate + aman guides are amazing and ensure you can avoid other tourists. I didnt go to the spa.... but was very tempted! You feel like a VIP from the moment you arrive... in a vintage mercedes. the town is not too far away and you can take a free tuk tuk ride. highly reccomend.

Room Tip: The rooms are the same... the decision is just whether you want to splash out and have a private poo...

We are staying In the oasis known as the Amansara Hotel in Siem Reap and have been blown away not just by the magnificent temples themselves but by the service we have been given. IMHO the only way to see Angkor Wat is to rise pre dawn at 4.45 am by the gentle rhythm of the hotel wake up service , then proceed to meet your guide in your private tuk tuk who takes you to the East Gate of the Ankor Wat complex where you make you way on foot through the still, dark, pre-dawn towards the temple which eerily becomes visible as daylight emerges. No people , no sounds - incredible. I don't like to ke using superlatives but the way the Amansara organise all your temple trips before the crowds in both the morning and late afternoon mean you are able to see the temples in the most spectacular way. And when your return 'home' you are met by staff attentive , unobtrusively to your every need.

I have just spent 3 days at Amansara and never been so happy again by making the right decision in Siem Reap. Aman makes the difference in any detail and their private tours and boat excursion on the lake are unique experiences that no other hotel or agency in town can offer . My only mistake was not to stay longer! Sally the General Manager and her team will do all they can to please you. Looking forward to return there.

Room Tip: Recommend booking a pool villa for extra exclusivity

Most Aman resorts are very nice. This hotel is no exception. The grounds and rooms are beautiful and exotic, staff very professional and attentive as always. The location is very close to Angkor Wat, or Angkor Archeological Park as it's referred to now. The hotel arranges a private tour and guide to transport you - and point out some of the things you'd otherwise miss. The only negative comment I have is that the food in the restaurant isn't great. There's nothing wrong with it but in a placed like this you expect to be wowed by the dining. In any event, Siem Reap has enough good authentic cuisine to satisfy you during your stay. We will return.

Room Tip: All rooms appear to be great. As with most hotels, some rooms are better than others. For the full...

I strongly believe in customer satisfaction and I saw it in this hotel. I mean what I said. These people are amazing. Their online portal was just awesome and I had no difficulty in booking rooms. Actually, they offered me a good discount, as I was a regular visitor to this hotel. However, this is my first review and would not mind to recommend this hotel to others in my office. The food and surrounding were amazing. The menus were truly rewarding and the food looked yummy. They also arranged transport for our sightseeing. It is quite expensive; however, it is worth the money spent.

We have stayed at several excellent hotels during our travels in Vietnam and Cambodia, but this one tops them all. Peaceful luxury, wonderful service, excellent restaurant and beautiful rooms. We really couldn't have asked for more. The only negative is they don't have a gym -you have to go to the hotel across the ( busy) street for a mediocre gym.
