Despite the heat, this is definitely something worth traveling to see. The temples have gone through significant changes over the last thousand years and provide for a great site to see. It is absolutely worth the trip. It may be very difficult for handicapped individuals to get around however. Also, there are sometimes victims of land mines playing music on the side of the road for money and I would encourage a donations. Lastly, it is very difficult to exchange Cambodian currency back outside of the country so I highly recommend exchanging everything before you leave.

Anchor wat
Truly a memorable man-made wonder of the world .
Make sure you go for the sunrise photos . Worth getting up early for .
Definitely opt for a Tuk Tuk driver as he will be able to drop you close to the temples.
Not for the less able walkers as there is a lot of walking involved .

Though having lived in Southeast Asia for three years, opportunity precluded ever visiting this stunningly magnificent site. Hence it was with much excitement and anticipation that I looked forward to such opportunity during this trip.

Believe me, it was beyond all expectaions!

Suffice it to say, the descriptions of others, pictures, videos and TV specials still do not effectively capture the awesomeness of this ancient, "Gotta' Visit" structure and surrounding grounds.

Have your walking shoes on, drinking water at the ready and plenty of time as this is not a "drop by for a moment" visit!

While a bit pushy, nearby vendors offer rather nice mementos at good prices - but we encourage - with a smile upon your face - you enter into the friendly banter of negotiating yet a lower price - it's a fun part of the experience.

I can see why this is often rated as one of the wonders of the world. See it with a private guide....it is well worth it, as there are so many hidden treasures. The place is unbelievable, rivaling Machu Piccu in shear wonder.
