If you are going to Siem Reap, clearly this is an absolute must do. The sunrise is absolutely gorgeous, but be prepared for it to be jam-packed!

Got there around midday and too many tourist and the reconstruction was very disappointing. All in all it's still breath taking. I highly recommend going and seeing if it's the last and only thing you do. Really glad I went.

Such a unique architecture with details story about the kingdom painted and crafted on the wall of the temple. You can spend hours here if you really an archelogy freak. Dont forget to put on the sun lotion as its really hot during afternoon.

Our trip took us from HCMC and Phom Phen before taking the bus to Siem Reap. It's a good route and comfortable bus ride; however it took out some days that we were sorry to give up for a longer stay at Siem Reap (highlight of this trip). It is better to spend more time in Cambodia. If you plan a similar trip, make sure to spend more days in Siem Reap! Angkor is awesome, the early morning trek to the temple to watch the sunrise was well worth it. Lots of walking....

One of the best sites I have ever visited! I strongly recommend to hire local guide, worth any dollar you will pay. The place is amazing,it remind me the first time I saw the pyramids in Egypt many years ago but much better. I recommend to spend at the site 2-3 days, Your guide will take you to great places, sometimes you can learn a lot just from little picture on the wall. The forest is fighting the ruins so it is important to hurry... ( see the attached picture) it is possible to hire bikes, I recommend to walk, there are many places where it is impossible to ride (including the ruins itself)
