Small luxury hotel in ideal , safe location in Siem Reap. Short tuk tuk ride or walk to city centre around Pub Street, and to top restuarants that we enjoyed including Aha Wine Bar and Restaurant and Palate Restaurant. FCC a great place for lunch or cocktail.Recommend Frangipani Spa, a short walk from hotel just in behind ANZ Royal branch. Comprehensive services at fraction of price of hotel spa, which we found overpriced.
Hotel staff are very friendly , polite and helpful, with any arrangements you need such as car and guide to Angkor Wat and other temples. Rooms are clean, large and very comfortable, good wifi. We had a king bed room, with balcony over looking pool. Pool is large and a welcome swim at end of a long day out. Food at hotel is very good, but not exceptional. Probably best luxury 5 star small hotel in Siem Reap, small being a big part of its charm and tranquility.

Room Tip: Stay away from river/street side if you can, as you do get traffic noise that the side rooms and back of poolside don't.

We really enjoyed this hotel. Our room was very appealing - lots of airy space any interesting architecture. The staff is very helpful and accommodating. The spa is so relaxing after hot days of sightseeing. Overall a wonderful experience

Very comfortable hotel with food and drink to match our five rating. The two hour 'happy hour' is highly recommended with a good range to choose from. The pool was very welcoming after a day visiting the temples!

I have always found La Residence to be an Oasis of relaxation after a hot day of touring Angkor Wat temples. The place is somewhat centrally located so it makes it easy walking distance to town, and a short tuk tuk ride to the temples. The rooms are very cool, spacious and well designed.

I would also recommend booking a dinner to see the Khmer Dance Performance on either Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday as it is a wonderful cultural experience. The dancer’s costumes are beautiful, and add much to the performance.

The bar staff in the Martini Lounge are well trained, and know how to properly present their selection of wines and drinks. It’s a nice place to get away from the heat of the day and just have a relaxing beverage and a snack. The menu provides a mix of cultures, so there is a selection for adults and kids alike.

Another recommendation I would make is transport to the temples. I opted to use Tuk Tuk motorcycle rickshaws with my 79 year old mother and her friend. They really enjoyed the experience because it put them closer to the culture. One one occasion we took a longer trip out of town to visit one of the temples for women, and it was a wonderful experience to be able to easily view, see, and smell the local Cambodia country side. They viewed the Tuk Tuk as one of the highlight experiences of their journey.

Although this was not my first visit to the hotel, it was my first visit to the spa. On the last day after our final temple tour I went for the facial. It was a great way to clean out the dirt from my hot travels. The spa staff were again very well trained, and it was a wonderful relaxing experience to end a wonderful trip to Siem Reap and Angkor Wat.

Room Tip: Garden Rooms were very good for older guests as they are on the ground floor.

A lovely hotel with beautiful rooms and great service close to the Ankgor Wat. Rooms are well maintained and the level of attention is high without being awkward. Their pool is very nice, available 24 hrs! Will stay here again for sure.
Enjoyed the morning buffet -- !
