“Delightful retreat”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 5, 2014

We have just returned from a 17 night trip to Vietnam and Cambodia (including Cruise) and stayed at this hotel for 2 nights inorder to view the archeological park temples at Angkor. I only wish we could have stayed longer. The rooms were fantastically well appointed - we stayed on the 3rd floor and had our own balcony with chairs and table overlooking the small lake. The service was, as often in the Orient, charming and quick - always with a smile. Lovely swimming pool area with swim-up bar and super spa for massages and other treatments. Also a small gym, but not air-conditioned at the time I used it. I imagine it usually is - perhaps it was broken. Good running machines and free weight section. Delicious food - breakfast especially good. Huge choice and great quality. Absolutely delightful hotel - highly recommend.

Room Tip: We had a room with balcony on the 3rd floor overlooking the small lake. Only a few rooms have balco...

Bonjour and Greetings from Cambodia! Thank you very much for your extremely nice comments on your experience in our property! I have already taken the opportunity to share your feedback with my team as they get even more motivated and keen on doing even better when they read it is appreciated! In regards to the Gym, we do have air-conditioning at the Fitness Center, we usually turn it on at very specific time of the day or when we notice that someone is using the gym. This is part of our ecologically friendly approach on energy saving. I do apologize for not noticing your visit to the gym. Once again, a big thank you for your message, a true motivation to keep us focus in the service for the wellbeing of our guests… Fabrice Ducry – General Manager

We spend three days at the resort during the 2014 lunar New Year weekend. The hotel was excellent in all respects. The rooms were well furnished and had a very nice view of the pond. Food was very good at the hotel restaurant and the service was also great. The pool was huge and was not crowded at all. There was a bar next to the pool and you could sit at he bar while still in the water. The concierge was very helpful in making restaurant reservations as well as for the circus. One piece of advice is that please make reservation if you plan on going to any of the top rated restaurants because that is the first they ask you. The hotel was also close to the attractions and the night market.

We stayed here for three nights so that we could visit Angkor temples most of which were a short tuk-tuk ride away. The hotel was excellent. The rooms are large and comfortable, ours had a lovely view of the lake. The grounds are beautifully maintained and a pleasure to wander round. We enjoyed a good breakfast with a lot of choice. The hotel was busy but the staff maintained their professionalism throughout our stay. We ate in The Citadel restaurant in the evening and found the portions substantial. We were entertained on two nights of our stay by Cambodian dancers which was fun and not too intrusive. I can recommend this hotel if you want quiet after a busy day but ask for a room overlooking the garden as it is much quieter.

This resort, at the final stage of our tour, was a welcome luxury. From our welcome (complete with masks, song and dance) to the traditional musician/s playing in the foyer, everything is designed to sweep you off your feet. The rooms fan out behind beautifully-landscaped gardens and 'lake', set back from the busy road. They are spacious, with a soft colour scheme; ours had a KING King-size bed (or two extra wide singles together) - magnificent! My only disappointment was the farewell buffet dinner in the main restaurant - perhaps too modified for the "tourist taste" or limited by the tour company budget? Some of the main dishes were cold due to inadequate heating underneath. Breakfast was plentiful - although I found it best to order an omelette freshly made rather than try the clichéd fare from the bain-marie. I must say that when we ordered a light lunch at the bar or by the pool the food was tasty and well presented. The venue is tranquil and serene - I loved the ambience. Perhaps order a la carte to enjoy the food on offer.

Lovely grounds, eager to please staff who are excellent, spotless and large rooms, very good breakfast. A short tuk tuk ride from the center of town. Request a room on the garden side,as the road side is nice , but can be noisy. Free wifi if you use a lower speed, but it is fast enough for the usual email and surfing. Beautiful pool

I gave this an overall rating of five, I only have one complaint and I believe it's isolated more to my personal preference. I don't like extra charges, When I booked and it stated free Wi-Fi, the free Wi-Fi is so slow it's unusable, they charge $15 a day for the faster Wi-Fi, and that was poor at best. The breakfast was expensive around US$20, but worth it. I had several opportunities to eat outside the restaurant for much cheaper price but chose to eat my breakfast at the hotel.

This hotel is absolutely stunning beautiful, the grounds are impeccably kept and beautiful. Everything in the room was high-quality and worked perfectly (internet noted) the staff was extremely helpful and always pleasant to talk to.

If you are not going there to work, and don't need True high-speed Internet to upload large files, this is the place to stay, I'm honestly not certain if there's any place in the area that has good internet service.
