Many of Cambodia's native wildlife is under extreme threat. The ACCB is an excellent facility which works to protect native wildlife and educate locals about conservation of their native biodiversity. It is not a zoo. It is a rehabilitation centre and a sanctuary. It was great to see so many native birds, gibbons, wildcats, monitor lizards, tortoises and turtles. Our guide was excellent - knowledgeable and personable. The ACCB is a must-see for anybody who is interested in getting to know Cambodia the country, in addition to the temple sites etc. The ACCB only opens at 1.30pm daily and numbers are limited. If you want to visit: get organised and book ahead via their website.

Hi,

Thank you for your great review of the ACCB. We are always delighted to here people have had an enjoyable experience and taken away important information about wildlife conservation for Cambodia and further a field.

I just wanted to add a quick note to others wishing to visit us. The tour actually starts at 1pm. Please make sure you arrive on time or you may miss some of the tour or even not be able to join at all.

Hope to see many more of you soon.

What a great way to spend a couple of hours! It was a nice break from the usual recommended stops in Siem Reap. The guide was incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Interesting stories about the individual animals and awareness around the survival and maintenance of different species was shared. Can easily be planned into a day of site seeing. You can have lunch nearby as well.

Tours begin at 1pm and run for about 90-120 minutes. A minimum donation for $3usd was requested and goes to a great cause!

ACCB is a really incredible place to visit and see the conservation work the small staff is doing. I was impressed with how many animals we were actually able to see (given that this isn't actually a zoo) and the guide really knew his stuff! Before coming here I didn't think a place like this existed in Cambodia, but it does and it does a really good job of it! Easy to combine in a day trip to Kbal Spean, as it's literally at the entrance to Kbal Spean.

I took part in the tour of ACCB. It was excellent, a thoroughly knowledgeable guide took us round the enclosures ending the tour with talk and touch session with shells.

A great drive to this place. You wont need a pass ( unless u dont mind paying for the toilets). The entry is three dollars minimum donations. The tour is between 1PM to 3PM only so be there on time. They will open the door at 1 and close it by 1:15 or so.

They have a few animals not many but the tour was fun, educational and enjoyable. I would recommend it once you are done with the temples etc. A welcomed change.
