In the beginning I have to say, that I didn´t stay at the hotel!!! BUT...

I didn´t book in advance and on my show up, unfortunately they couldn´t give me a double room for the next three days. But instead of saying goodbye to me, they offered me to help finding another room. Not the room of his "brother" or "best friend" as it always happens in SEA. I found another nice hotel on TripAdvisor using their Wifi. He gave them a call. As they didn´t answer the phone, he gave me a free ride on his motorbike to ask for a free room.

Everything worked out perfectly and I have to say, that I am really overwhelmed by this customer service! Haven´t seen this in a long time.

Sidewalk is a 10mins walk to the happenings of Siem Reap town.
Cheaper meals are all nearby because it's in a nice local village.
Hotel room is nice & comfortable with a nice communal terrace on each level.
USD20/night is rather affordable for room of slightly above average quality but if your budget is less than $15/night then hostels on the main street will do.

Would appreciate if
1. The toilet don't choke on me.
2. There are fans installed in the lobby & terraces.

Room Tip: Higher levels are quieter and definitely nicer.

Me and my boyfriend stayed at the side walk hotel in a double room for four nights we orginally booked 3 night but loved it so much we stayed longer. The location is perfect of you want to be close to pub street and lovely resturants but far enough away to get a good rest before taking an temples adventure. The owners are loevly really helpful and nothing is a problem .. they arranged a driver to take us to the temples without any pressure. This is the perfect place to stay if you want a real taste of Cambodian hospitality !!!

I stayed for 4 nights and had really great time here. The rooms are nice and clean, internet connection works perfectly and the staff is very friendly. Serving free tea and coffee, always laughing.... The hotel is close to the city center, just a short walk (no need to spend money for tuk tuk). And the price for room is very reasonable. I would certainly recommend this place.

This place is great. Really close to the city center, the Side Walk is a pretty nice guest house. Rooms are big and clean, wi-fi connection works perfectly and people are wonderful. Definitely recommended.

Furthermore the owner supports A.C.Milan, and we spent some times talking about football and the destiny of Serie A!

By the way, if you see a big boy in the lobby with red sunglasses...well those glasses were mine: a gift for a good boy! Hope to see you again guys. Have fun (big boy, give up with turists, cambodian girls are wonderful).
