Done some pretty awesome photo-taking. Some nice local restaurant / sites recommendation too. Full of energy. Nice comfortable vehicle. Always have bottled water available. Knows history of Angkor very well. Do bring your music though for your road trip if you do look for something international :)

If you are looking for a guide to visit the temples in the Angkor Park, then you need not waste your time on the net searching for a good English speaking guide. Because there is only one guide who knows it all and he is Ratanak Eath. We were were lucky to find him. Although he is an young man, which might cause some aversion towards his capability, but once you meet him, you will be surprised to know of his real calibre.

His knowledge in the following areas is incredible:

1. Fluent in English and hardly any accent.
2. Good knowledge of the Cambodian History.
3. Well versed in the history of all the temples in the Angkor Park.
4. A good knowledge of the Ramayana and Mahabharata (a must for all visitors to the Park).
5. An excellent photographer who documents one’s trip to Angkor Park.
6. Who knew what and when to photograph and also to locate our special interests in the various temples we visited.
7. Knew exactly how to avoid large tour groups.
8. Helpful in arranging cultural activities in Siem Reap.
9. Transportation in his air-conditioned car with ample cold water to sustain the heat was fanatastic.

Ratanak Eath (Nak) is a very friendly, jovial and lively young man.
My wife and I took a great liking towards him and we really had great fun together.
We wish him good luck and all the best in his profession as a tour guide in the Angkor Park.
Thanks a lot for your company.
Mam and Vishnu.

We booked Ratanak in advance via email for a 4 day tour. He reacted very flexible to our request for modifications to the suggested itinerary. During the tour he made the best of it to keep us clear of the hordes of tourists and made sure that we arrived at the most important temples when the lighting conditions were most favourable which was important for me as a hobby photographer. He also was very helpful by pointing out suitable positions for taking photos.
His english is very good and he is very knowledgeable about cambodian history. Ratanak is reliable about pick up times, the car is in a good condition and very comfortable. He keeps sufficient cool water (included) in the boot and Ratanak is a safe driver.
We can highly recommend Ratanak as a tour guide of Angkor.
