We stayed as a base to explore the temples and the hotel was a great place to come back to after a long day, with hot showers and a great breakfast.

Mr Tra was the best tuk tuk driver in Cambodia so make sure to ask for him, you won't be disappointed!

At first we were apprehensive as I mistakenly thought that the hotel I booked was in town. As we took a taxi from the airport the driver said that Gloria Angkor was far from the sights and it would cost $10 instead of $7 for the regular Siem Reap transfer. We listened to him and checked out 2 other hotels in town before heading to Gloria Angkor. It is much nicer than the others we saw and $10 cheaper a night. In fact it is only a 5 minute tuk tuk out of town on a main road that has fruit markets and convenience stores near the hotel. Plus going to Ankor sights is direct and faster that many spots in town. They provide a tuk tuk driver for the day of sight seeing and whatever other errands you need to $15. Our driver "Saroon" (Tuk Tuk Number 01) is fantastic and knows where to get you mangosteens and dragonfruit should the need arise ;P

The amazing staff surprised us by decorating our room, leaving jasmine flowers on the bed, and lotus petals floating in the bathtub, and a fruit basket with a complimentary bottle of wine. Not to mention a cake to top it off.

Overall things we like:
No Partying Idiots
New Pool
Very Nice Staff
On Sight Professional Tuk Tuk Service
Free Water, Tea, Coffee, and Breakfast.

Room Tip: 311 is a high corner room at the back of the hotel. View of the pool & zero traffic noise.

We stayed at the Gloria Angkor Hotel as part of our trip around Cambodia, we arranged a pick up from the airport which was free, it was a motor bike tuc tuc which was a interesting ride with 4 adults and all our luggage but it was fun. when we got to the hotel they actuaaly hadn't received our booking from Booking.com but this wasn't a problem they found us rooms straight away, just be aware there is a lot of stairs and being on level 3 was very hot work. The rooms were clean and large, the pool was fantastic and there free ride into the night market was fantastic. The breakfast was not bad but overall it was fantastic value for money.
The staff couldn't do enough for you they were fantastic.

We stayed here for 4 nights while in Siem Reap and we couldn't be happier we picked it.
The staff are so friendly and helpful and can't do enough for you.
The rooms and shower are clean and comfortable.
TV, fridge and TV (a TV guide provided)
Each night you are delivered 2 bottles of water, a fruit basket, a guide to the films on TV that evening and the channels and a old Cambodian fable as a 'night time read' always with a moral.
Pool is lovely and a pool bar to order drinks or food whenever you want
Breakfast served untill 10pm
Tuk tuk drivers to take you into old market or pub street for the evening and will pick you up
You can also hire the tuk tuk drivers to take you around the temples for 1-3 days which is highly recommended if only there for a short time and even the tuk tuk ride is enjoyable (sometimes more enjoyable than the temples themselves!)
Were back in Cambodia in August with friends and we will definitely stay here again!

Although we stay at a large number of hotels every year (most of which are far more expensive than the Gloria Angkor Hotel) this is actually the first time we are writing a review on one. But we think that this hotel is really far better in terms of service and general standard than most other hotels.

It is true that it is situated a little more than walking distance away from the center of Siem Reap, but as you are likely to spend your time mainly at the Angkor temple sights during the day anyway this is practically of less importance. In fact, it makes the stay less noisy in the night - and with the free tuk-tuk service you can still easily reach the center of town in the night. Apart from that, the hotel is closer to the sites at Angkor Wat, than most hotels in the center.

Good things to say about the Gloria Angkor Hotel: the staff is very helpful, rooms are clean and looked after every day (with nice little presents like a Cambodian fairytale for reading at night, fruit baskets, and two bottles of free mineral water every day), the swimming pool is clean and very new, free bikes are provided (if they don't have any they rent bikes for you free of charge), they offer good and cheap massage (6 USD/hr.). The restaurant offers local Khmeer dishes as well as western ones. Breakfast can be served late and they pack it for you, if you are out for early site seeing.

Overall, the Gloria Angkor Hotel is more a 4* hotel than anything else. It is new and owned and run by a local Khmeer family - which both makes the stay more authentic and gives you a feeling of supporting the local economy.

Stayed here with two friends, so we had two beds and a cot. I got stuck with the cot, which wasn't too comfortable, but so it goes with cots. Still, there was plenty of space in the room. The breakfast and the rooms are pretty simple; the wifi wasn't entirely reliable; and there were a handful of very short power outages over the couple days we were there. But the hotel is super-cheap, the A/C was good, and all told we were pretty comfortable there. And the pool was perfect after a long day of trekking around the Angkor temples.

One thing to know is that the hotel is about a ten minute drive from "Pub Street", which is where most of the hotels and restaurants are. (That's probably why the place is so inexpensive.) This didn't end up being a problem, esp. since the hotel provides free tuk-tuks to and from Pub street in the evenings. And it was pretty cool seeing the "real" Siem Reap.

The hotel services are fantastic. The hotel provides a free transport service via a "tuktuk ride" a Cambodian utility vehicle.
The hotel amenities are great. The pool is spacious, the lobby and restaurant are cozy.
The food is delicious but a little bit spicy. The "cheese" OMG! I just love it! Taste heavenly..
Dont forget to try the massage. My friend and I had a Blast!! Hahaha! It will blow away your mind.
The hotel staffs are amazing. They speak fluent English and are very accomodating to our request.
