Owner description: "Smile of Angkor" is the first grand Epic daily show that revives the Angkor dynasty in all aspects. It's the most worth view show in Cambodia. From foundation to prosperity, tale to folk customs, past to present, Smile of Angkor expresses the original culture with the highest technology It's a splendid performance directed by the experts of the Cambodia Culture and Fine Arts Ministry and the director team of the Closing Ceremony of 2008 Olympic Games. It's a legendary show that revives all the myths from the reliefs of Angkor Temples with our grand stage and the brightest stars. There is a buffet at the venue to allow you to dinner before the show. A small and cosy restaurant is dedicated to the individual visitors (non-group) but be aware that it s a huge buffet for Asian group so don't expect for food and Western standard level. But you will be able to see all the nationalities of Asia and to taste differents foods : Khmers, Vietnamese, Korean... Be aware that during the high season there should have so queue for the bbq which know a big success. During the show you can not take photos or videos. We wish to welcome you

“This is a compromise rating between my wife and I”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 22, 2013

This is a compromise rating. My wife says 3 and I say 1. Many of the negative reviews are correct about the buffet. But to be fair, the asians seemed to devour it. I think the issue is that the bufffet is totally geared toward asian preferences with almost no cross-over items. The night we were there, we spotted only 2 westerners other than ourselves, so this probably reflects how the tours preceive the dinner/show. I think this carries over to the show. I think it reflects asian tastes over western preferences. We had the same issue at Bodubodeur in Indonesia where asians seemed thrilled with the show and westerners were more negative. The show was visually interesting in parts but did not connect with me. My wife enjoyed it a little better. So, my overall take away is for westerners to avoid it and asian to go see it.

“Modern presentation of Cambodian history and culture”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 4, 2013

This food and entertainment combination was very efficiently presented. High tech dinner theater!

The buffet which precedes the show extensive and plentiful , although a little chaotic at times -- I'm not complaining.

The show started on time and lasted about 1 hour 20 minutes.

It was a high tech and visually stunning presentation of key elements of Cambodian history and culture . It's useful to know something about the subject prior to attending the show -- so you will not be totally lost, although the narrative was quite helpful as a guide.

It was a most enjoyable evening and congratulations to those who put this show together -- and the dinner which preceded it.

“Great Food and Good Show”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 2, 2013

Unlike similar venues on Thailand this food and show venue run a tight ship - starting the show on time and leaving very little gap between eating and the show. In fact you can eat while the show is on. The best food is fresh and cooked in front of you. The show can be difficult to follow f you haven't got someone explaining it. Compared to the Thai equivalent this is good value for money.
