We tried to make a same-day booking, but the Haven was fully booked for the next two days. The responses to our reservation requests were very prompt and courteous. We confirmed a booking for the third day out. It was worth the wait. The service staff were friendly and attentive, and the food was absolutely delicious. Two stand-out dishes include the fresh spring rolls (get both dipping sauces; the chili sauce is also good on the calamari) and the amok, ordered a little spicier than normal. We enjoyed the casual atmosphere, punctuated by great music playing in the background (who knew that the top 3 Depeche Mode fans in the world would be found in this corner of Cambodia?). We had such a good experience that we took a chance and dropped in for lunch the next day. Luckily, they had a table open, and we again had a terrific meal. I'm glad that this restaurant supports such a wonderful cause, but we would not have returned unless the food and service warranted it, which it did. Thank you, Haven, for two really awesome meals during our visit to Siem Reap!
