The staff there speak good english and is always nice to help. I rent some good bikes there, bought some bus and museums tickets and everything worked fine. I recommend!

I booked through Green Cycles (although no bikes were involved) because I thought $15 for a full day tour in an air conditioned vehicle with an English speaking guide, cold drinks and other people was good value and would be good fun. Not at all. Couldn't understand anything the guide said apart from the words "Tomb Raider" and "Angelina Jolie". He kept talking about that film - as if it were the only USP of Siem Reap temples. He was always walking ahead of us - briskly - as if he couldn't wait to get away from us. At one point, during a particularly heavy rainstorm, he left one of our group behind. He had found his way back to our van and couldn't understand why he should go and find her. He was boring, he was bored, so was I. He took us to a bog standard restaurant (you buy your own lunch on this day trip) and was stunned when another traveler and I decided to go elsewhere. Go to the Angkor Cafe - good food, clean toilets, great coffee and WIFI. The driver was also rubbish - during these rainstorms he was nowhere to be seen. The first time he refused to come to our group so we had to go to him and got soaked in the process. The second time, he refused to go to the main street so that our group could see where the van was. Instead he stayed buried in the car park. It was so annoying. We were totally fed up by the end. Or at least I was.

Two girlfriends & I (45+ yrs) went cycling with Mr Ka from Green Cycles, Siem Reap.
We had not been on a bike for more yrs than we want to remember, so asked for the easy tour, 30kms on road. It was the best day & the worst day (take pillow for behind.....oh the pain!)
Mr Ka, the nicest man definately enjoyed a few laughs at our expense. Cycled through the city (if you thought crossing the road was bad try cycling on it) 15 kms to the next town, walked through markets, ate bbq frogs, visited a silk factory. Oh the pain of the journey home, we were in pain & exhausted, but Mr Ka ever so patient stopped often for us to rest, once in "roadside eatery" (something the tourist buses don't do). Even with a sore backside it was one of the best experiences of my holiday, gettin up close & personal with the countryside. Mr Ka has various levels of cycling & had only been in business a short time, so please do go visit Green Cycles when in Siem Reap.

they offer all sorts of tours, but their main business is in cycling tours. we went on the tour to kampong phluk on a sunday so we got the cheaper price. you can email mr ka about cycling on other days, and he's quite helpful in tailoring tours to meet a customer's needs.

the 12USD price for sunday's tour doesn't include the boat trip (total price including both boat trips to kampong phluk and the flooded forest was 37USD - if your budget is tight i'd suggest just taking the one to kampong phluk as you can see the flooded forest along the way anyway) but even after everything was added it's still very competitive. the guide spoke great english and was very experienced. we cycled through the villages to get to kampong phluk, which took us on a slightly longer route than usual but provided great sights. going back to siem reap, we went by the NR6 route which is shorter but less scenic. the bikes provided were mountain bikes with suspensions and everything - very important when you're going to be cycling through bumpy village dirt tracks.

one thing we would have done different was to stop our guide while we were going through the villages to take photos. we thought we'd be going back the same way but we returned to siem reap by the highway and lost the opportunity to take photos in the village
