Description: Welcome to Upstairs Cafe, a French Salon de The opened in December 2011. The story behind this project is very simple, combine two of my favorite hobbies, decoration and baking for my friends, in one place. I would like to share with you my Mum and Grandma's recipes. These simple cakes lulled my childhood, they are all prepared with lots of love (and the best ingredients !) In addition to serving homemade cakes, delicious TWG teas and Illy coffees and refreshments, Upstairs Cafe also offers a few options for breakfast and specials for a light lunch .

What a beautiful and cheery café! It's a lovely place to just chill and people watch from the glass windows. The staff here are really friendly too!

“Go upstairs to relax and unwind”

Had a cappuccino and a slice of fondant cake. They are good by Siem Reap's touristy standard. Love the homely deco.

“Best Home Made Cake in Siem Reap”
Reviewed August 28, 2013

Not really keen on having lunch/snacks in this nice cozy place

But their Home Made cakes are definitely the only ones in the whole Siem Reap

Definitely worth a try when it's too hot outside for Touristic Visits
Lovely Manager too, friendly and pro

“Chocolate Fondant from Heaven”
Reviewed August 22, 2013

I found this place on tripadvisor, and after having wondered off the beaten track to the other side of the bridge and stopped for half an hour for some old school Tom and Jerry at some lovely outdoor local's eatery, I stumbled across Upstairs cafe and decided to stop there.
The decor is lovely, it is so quiet and peaceful, and the ladies are so nice and welcoming. They have a lovely selection of magazines and books, and they were playing some relaxing Buddha Bar music, which was a surprise.
The Jasmine tea was lovely, served with a small pink guimauve, and the chocolate fondant was absolutely divine. it was served with a fragrant fruit salad, and it was creamy, fondant and chocolatey.

I am going back to try their breakfast some time soon.

Dear Guest,

Thank you very much for visiting Upstairs Café and for taking the time to post a review.
The concept of Upstairs Café is based on a Salon de thé -tea room- In addition to serving homemade cakes, teas and coffees and refreshments, Upstairs Café also offers a few options for breakfast and specials for a light lunch as mentionned on the menu.
We do serve breakfast and cake but a bit more than you mentionned as we also serve quiche that you had for lunch.
I'm sorry that your friend's quiche was served cold - electricity is pretty weak in Cambodia and is not constant, it is difficult for us to make sure the quiche is prefectly warm. It would be easier to use a micro wave but I prefer to warm the quiche in the oven to ensure the quality.
Sorry to hear that my staff misunderstood your order, their english is pretty good but not perfect, and they are improving everyday.
In regards to your back problem, we do only have wooden benches that come with only one of our table, and each of our chair comes with a cushion.
The best place for you would have been our comfortable sofa.
On a positive note, I'm glad you did enjoy your quiche and hope to welcome you again in a near future.
All the best,
