It was cool to see a lot of crocodiles in a big tank beneath you, but it was super sad too. They are just lying on top of each other, sunning themselves, waiting to be killed and turned into handbags and shoes. If you are an animal lover, is is not the place for you to visit.

I went in Oct 2012. Very close to the old market - prob 5min tuk tuk ride - should prob be only a $1, but I got taken for more.

They have separate cages/pools for crocs 1yr old, 2-3 yrs, 4-5 yrs, etc.
Then they have a big pit with the real big crocs - prob like 2 feet wide at the belly and 9 feet long. There is a raised viewing area for this pit, so you are getting a birds eye view of the crocs. As mentioned before you can buy food to throw into the pit - fish $3, live duck $7, live chicken $10. I sort of wanted to throw in a live animal but that would just really be cruel to get a kick out of seeing another living being die a painful frightening death.

You can cover the whole place in about a half hour. To walk from one end of the farm to the other is about 3min. I didn't find the smell that bad but yes it does smell. I certainly didn't need a mask. But I have spent much time in asia and perhaps accustomed to it.

There are a LOT of crocs. i won't comment on if it is humane or not because I really don't know what is natural or not. And I don't want to get into animal rights issues when poor local cambodians are just trying to feed their family.

Gift shop is more disturbing. The croc skin purses, belts, clothing, coin pouches, are ok and the usual. But I don't like how they have croc figurines - made from real stuffed crocs. I don't agree with killing of the animal for the sake of making figurines.

Overall its interesting. I never seen such large crocs. Feeding is very interesting too. I watched other feed fish to the crocs. The excitement dies down pretty quickly tho. Without food, the crocs are pretty boring. They just sunbathe around and don't do much.

This placering was cheap and pretty near the city center! 3 dollars to get in and you could see everything the farm has too offer! The real experience is too feed the crocs! We payed 3 dollars to get 1 kilo of fish and that was pretty fun! They also had a pretty cool giftshop, But for Two backpackers it was à bit expensive!
But it's worth à visit if you are in Siem Reap!

This place does not live up the hype. It looks like someone's back yard.
Way too many Crocodiles in such a small area, basically running all over each other.
Many are caged in a pretty small cage. It has 2 pool areas for there enjoyment and it was not at all pleasant to see people paying upwards of $10 usd to see them run crazy fighting over a live Chicken or Duck for a meal.
The only upside to this $3 adventure was getting some nice photo's.
P.S. If you do decide to go, take the mask they offer you, it can get pretty smelly.
