Our family of 4 ate here several times while staying at their guesthouse (separate review here). The menu was more than varied enough for the long weekend. Plenty of Western and Cambodian fare, also some Thai favorites. The portions were ample and everything tasted very good, and the prices very fair. The place was very open, covered and comfortable with just a fan - no a/c needed, even on a 32 degree afternoon.

The staff was consistently competent and helpful.

Angkor Beer on draught during Happy Hour and the Cambodian beef lok-lak were especialy appreciated treats.

Friendly staff. Quiet area. 10min walk to pub street! Air conditioned rooms, clean and good showers but drainage a little slow! Would highly recommend!

We paid USD20 per night for 2 nights for an ultra-compact twin-bed room, a spacious balcony, TV and hot shower. WIFI is free and works faster than the Internet terminals they provide. Everything is clean and tidy and the staff are friendly and helpful. I like the fact that its not all concrete and modern. While its architecture is colonial, there's a cozy touch of old Cambodia in the mix. The environment is relaxing and help ease us in the build up of our Siem Reap experience. Shadow is conveniently next to the Pub Street and Night market and the guesthouse can arrange for tour and transport to Angkor Wat. There's a nice restaurant on the ground floor with nice wooden seats and its perfect for lazying and watching the world go by. But if you simply want the concrete and modern basics, there's several cheap guesthouse options nearby.

The Shadow I was a great value for a 3 day stay in Siem Reap. The single room was very comfortable/complete. The Guest house is right in the middle of the market/downtown, so no troubles getting around. The staff were super - helping whenever, however they could with travel plans. Would definitely recommend this lodging and stay again on the next trip to Siem Reap.
