Pick up was easy and on time. Small group of five was perfect. The spot we watched sunrise from was quiet and away from the crowds. Our guide, Wich, was an encyclopedia of Cambodian history and especially the Angkor Wat complex.
The bikes were sturdy and gears shifted easily. No mechanicals for any of the riders.
The total riding time is about 2 hours through mostly single track trails. One needed full control of the front wheel as patches of sand often led to rear tire sliding out. Beware of low branches from time to time.
The tour is a good amount of walking, climbing stairs, and the aforementioned riding so at the end I felt like I had a good workout. I would recommend d bringing a protein bar or two for mid ride as the fruit offered was good but not enough calorie.
The lunch afterwards was, frankly, a bit disappointing. It lacked the charm of a local roadside local place. The real value was meeting the people on the tour with me and the great fun we had getting to know each other in this sacred place.
