“Wonderful location, wonderful establishment and wonderful staff”

From the welcoming drink to the final goodbye, our stay at Villa Medamrei was an excellent experience. The rooms and food were good and the staff always friendly and helpful. Add to that the location, and there is little more to ask for.

Highly recommended.

This is a beautifully presented hotel, and very reasonably priced. We stayed for three nights in early January, in peak tourist season, and it was a great escape from the dirt and noise of Siem Reap. Upon arrival we were seated in a gorgeous foyer with koi ponds and a delicious fruit drink. The concierge was very sweet and exceptionally helpful. Shoes are left in reception, and while the hotel provides thongs to be worn as an alternative, they looked pretty tattered (and I was worried about the hygiene of the public set of sandals) so we went barefoot. Our room was small, but beautifully decorated and clean and tidy. The bathroom was also small, with a concrete floor and a very 'rustic' feel, but for what we were paying we were very happy. Out of three mornings, we only ate breakfast in the restaurant once (we went early to the temples on the other mornings and they packed us a basic but fairly large breakfast of bread and jam, a muffin, and fruit), and I had the Cambodian pineapple pancake which was amazing. I'm a bit of a pancake connoisseur and I was truly impressed. My partner had bacon and eggs which he found to be average. The breakfast is not as substantial as the buffets you find at larger hotels, but we did not find this to be problematic. This is a lovely hotel, with great surrounds and great service, but it is also on the lower end, price-wise, so it does not have the bells and whistles that pricier accommodation provides. I would definitely visit again.

Wow, you can spend $5 to $500 on a room in Siem Reap!

This hotel seams quite reasonably priced. Very clean. Contemporary design. Very helpful employees. Rooms are a little small but thoughtfully appointed and quite adequate with good luggage management. Check out the large pot with a geometric live flower blossom design by the front door. Lovely.

GREAT LOCATION. Easy walking distance to Pub Street (area with a great selection of restaurants, most with outdoor seating), art shops, the large local market, the large tourist night market. We rented mountain bikes around the corner and rode to Angkor for one of our many days.

Room Tip: We read that the second floor would be quieter but we were on the first and were fine.

I have no idea why staying here is so inexpensive. The service was incredible, breakfast was terrific, and everything was just as it is represented on the website. Probably the most charming hotel I've ever stayed in. Great location as well. Easy walk to downtown, but you won't be bothered by the pub street noise,

For perspective, I moved out of a hotel at a similar price point and similar photographic depictions because when I checked in, the room was not at all like the pictures. Medamrei is completely different. I would have paid double.

Stayed here for 3 nights. Rooms are comfortable with hint of minimalism - polished concrete on floors.
The staff here are super nice-one lady who worked at the reception was great! She was knowledgable, spoke pretty good English and provided fantastic service.
I found the breakfast to be a little stingy but it was included so can't complain too loudly!
The hotel had a nice vibe. We enjoyed ourselves here and would stay again. Thanks!!

Really cleaned room, knowledgeable and friendly staff, and a stone throw away to all the nightlife. We spent a month in Southeast Asia and stayed at many hotels and this is one of our favorites. Complimentary breakfast doesn't hurt either. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Three of us found this small boutique hotel without making a reservation. The staff was very nice and one of them even speaks Japanese. They were very nice and the rate was reasonable so we decided to stay here. I liked that guests must take their shoes off at the entrance. That means the rest of the hotel is clean enough, thanks to the staff, to walk barefoot. Hotel decor was so pretty and detailed. My favorite part was the welcome drink, a delicious lemongrass tea, and banana chips. So yummy! I ordered it every day at the hotel restaurant. Breakfast is included and has lots of choices and is very good. No downsides really. Would definitely come back again. Recommended for anyone.
