“Lovely ambience and good food”
Reviewed February 25, 2013

This place is more expensive than most restaurants but the service and ambience are very nice. Great for a special occasion.

“Wonderful, out of the way, dining in Siem Reap”
Reviewed February 21, 2013

The restaurant is away from the hustle and bustle of central Siem Reap and this distance is not just about its location but also about its attitude to food. This is not a tourist joint but a place for foodies who want to discover and appreciate Khmer food. On offer are just 2 tasting menus. We picked the one at $19 and were treated to an amuse-bouche, an appetiser (shallow fried minced pork which was crispy and yet also melting in the mouth), 2 mains (respectively chicken stir-fry and a prawn curry) and a dessert. All was lovely to look at and delicious to sample. Really good value for a true gourmet experience. The staff was attentive and kept us hydrated with sparkling water and beer; wine was on offer but we declined. The setting is pretty - whether it's the modern inside room downstairs, the outdoor courtyard or the upstairs terrace (where you eat sitting on the floor whereas the 2 downstairs areas have chairs). Fans ensured we had a breeze as the temperature remained above 30 degrees Celsius. Highly recommended. This gem has been found so reserving seems a good idea.

To our standards best restaurant of SiemReap.
Refined combination of east and west. Cambodia/ french toprestaurant. You have to make reservations, more fine cuisine lovers know their way to this place.

“Choose to sit on the floor!”
Reviewed February 14, 2013 via mobile

We had had to agree to an early booking and to "sitting on the floor" to get in, but when we got there we realized these were the prime seats in the house. A traditional style Cambodian house on stilts with the lower floor and the terrace normal seating and upstairs, a lovely wooden room with low/floor seating for 3 couples and a annex room with floor seating for six.
An evening of great food. A tasting menu of sausage, prawn and chicken followed by a panna cotta desert, but that only tells one tenth of the story. The amuse bouche was a delicious fish tail that was a course in itself. The prawns were out of this world. I would have preferred my lime sorbet on the side rather than on top of the panna cotta, but then I am being over fussy. A bit pricey for Cambodia - but worth it.

“Incredible food”
Reviewed February 14, 2013

Had the fixed menu and it was beyond incredible. The chef is a genius with food. Had wine with dinner and the price will blow you away, very reasonable. Any Foodie will really love this place. Thanks again for a memorable dining experience. It is almost a must to make reservations which can be done by email before arrival in Cambodia.
