“Great mix of Cambodian and French cuisine”
Reviewed December 30, 2012

The food was great, a nice blend of French and Cambodian cuisine. I was completely stuffed by the end of the meal. Note that they only have two set meals. We were in the upper area of an old house—it was nice, we sat on the floor with cushions—but it got quite warm up there. They have a nice window so you can see the food being prepared, which was a nice touch. The owners were very friendly.

“Best meal we had in Siem Reap”
Reviewed December 18, 2012

I agree with Chris C's review. Should rank number one, as the food is in a different league when compared with other high ranking restaurants in Siem Reap on Tripadvisor. A taste experience and inventive dishes. Relatively expensive, but certainly worth it.

“Fresh ingredients, tasty food, good value”
Reviewed December 15, 2012 via mobile

I went there last night with my husband and two teenaged children. I read about it in TA and decided to give it a try. The owner (wife) came out to greet us. We were seated outdoors as we only called about 2 hours prior. Must call to reserve. They were full on Sat night. There were 2 set menus priced at $19 and 26. I took the smaller set and the other three took the larger. The food was well presented, ingredients were fresh. I especially liked the imaginative use of herbs and vegetables in the salads and sides. The calamari salad was very refreshing and tasty. The seared beef tenderloin salad as well. The roasted pork shank was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender and succulent on the inside, perfectly married to a garlic sour soup with mushrooms and vegetables. The roasted chicken breast was however disappointing and the meat was tough, although the elephant ear taro stem salad that came with it was light and interesting. I didn't care much for the desserts in both menus. It was too sweet and not exciting, although the chocolate mousse was good. All considered it was very good value for money. The service staff were polite and spoke good English. We left a small tip although we were told that in Cambodia, it's "not allowed". One point , be sure to put on mosquito repellent in case you get seared outside. There are mozzies!

“Nice but not so much to it”
Reviewed December 13, 2012

Nice place but in a very dark area. A patio that needs plant to grow, you can still see the brick wall and that is not so very enchanting. The owners and service just great. Not so much for the food, They have only two fixed menus and some dishes are really nice while others are not very good.

“By far the BEST reataurant we visited in Siem Reap”
Reviewed December 11, 2012

Don't always believe the 'ratings' on Tripadvisor! This one comes 9th on the list but is head & shoulders above all the others we tried in Siem Reap, including those rated no1 & 2 on Tripadvisor! It is a classic mixture of local Cambodian ingredients & French culinary genious. Lovely, peaceful setting (indoor or outdoor), superb service, excellent & imaginative cocktails, good wine list & imaginative food cooked to prefection! There are 2 'set menus' (from memory $19 or $26 one with 5 courses & one with 6). We had the bigger one & every dish was lovely. If it's available I would recommend the Rice paddy crab yellow curry with Mekong langoustine & tamarind shoots - delicious, but so was every other dish! Not cheap by Cambodian standards but worth it.
