During our 3month south east Asia this was one of the nicest meals we have had! The wait was a bit long but they were quiet busy at the time and ig may have seemed long because we were hungry :) but the food was amazing! We had the set menu for two which was plentiful. The staff were really quick to serve and were also very good! Would defiantly go back again when in siem reap!

We stumbled on this little restaurant while traipsing up and down Pub street and had such a good meal that we ended up coming back again the next night. The menu is typical Khmer, the atmosphere relaxed and the service fantastic. Everything we ate was delicious and cheap plus our waiter couldn't do enough for us.
I would recommend the Cambodian Soup restaurant to anyone wanting to be in the middle of the Pub street action.

We were in Siem Reap for 12 days and came here every day. The food is great and the service was impeccable. The Garlic Prawns appetizer was our favorite. We went to the cooking school here and although the Garlic Prawns was not on the list for the classes, the chef came in on her day off and showed me how to make it! We tried everything from the soups to the BBQ and never had a bad meal. The staff was so attentive, no matter how busy they were. While my husband enjoyed the .50 cent beers, I had brought some Snapple add-ins that the staff mixed for me and kept the ice coming to keep my peach tea cold. I can't say enough good things about this place and the staff. The cooking school was good, we each had our own stations to cook. We made spring rolls, Cambodian Soup, pumpkin and banana desserts in addition to the Garlic Prawns. Every dish turned out perfectly. The instructors were very informative and did a great job with those in the class that were novices in the kitchen. We got to eat all that we made and it cost $10, which included a tee shirt. It was a lot of fun.

We were brought in by the $.50 draft beer, and sold by the Khmer set for 2 (amok fish coconut curry, sweet chicken curry, rice, spring rolls) for $10.00.
This place has good service, YUMMY food, clean washrooms (hooray), and it's so cheap to eat and drink.

You'll have lots of options on Pub Street, but definitely give this one a try.

Chanced upon this restaurant while walking Pub Street; the bbq stove, meat skewers and clean interior caught our eye. Wait staff are friendly and speak decent English, chairs are comfy and ceiling fans kept the place nice and cool. Food is excellent for the price range: $6 for a BBQ beef or chicken skewer (abt 5 slices served w vege), $2.75 BBQ whole chicken thigh, $1 BBQ whole frog (if u dare try - it tastes like chicken), $3.50 for a glass noodle seafood salad. Or you could do the $10 steamboat bbq set with an assortment of vegetables and choice of meat (chicken/ beef). Overall, this was an excellent find and the food quality was very, very good! We came back for dinner the next night. :)

Oh, by the way, beer goes for 50c per mug all day, and there's free wi-fi. And the toilets are pretty clean too - huge plus!
