“good food good value”
Reviewed June 12, 2014 via mobile

I've eaten here twice and both times have enjoyed the casual ambience and the quality of the food.

chicken cashew first time and their onion rings and spicy eggplant pork the 2nd time all of which were very tasty and enjoyable.

they're supporting a good cause so help them do their work by eating here and you can enjoy a meal at the same time.

“Good food, great cause”
Reviewed June 11, 2014

If you are looking for a simple well cooked and presented meal then Green Star restaurant is the place to go, I had a delicious fish and ginger stir fry. (Also, available with beef or frogs if you are interested.) It is great to see enthusiastic young people enjoying their work and doing well.

Tourism has many negative consequences. Enjoy yourself and make a positive difference at the same time.

“Great food, great place!”
Reviewed June 7, 2014 via mobile

Went here in June 2014. The food was fresh, delicious, and affordable. The eggplant pork dish was the favorite at our table, but everything was great. Highly recommend.

Our Tuk Tuk driver didn't know the restaurant, but we told him the south end of Wat Bo Road, and it was really easy to find from there.

I ordered a vermicelli shrimp salad which was good value and flavorful. Their fried corn is also very good. Would recommend this place for a good value, tasty meal.

“Our #1 in Siem Reap”
Reviewed May 21, 2014

During our recent 11 days in Siem Reap we ate at many fine restaurants, some of which I will review. Of them all, Green Star was our favorite and we had several dinners here.

It is not terribly fancy but pleasant and clean. It is a training restaurant. There are several NGOs that operate training restaurants in town.

They feature great Khmer dishes and sometimes fuse them with Western traditions in new and unusual ways. There are daily specials and we often ordered of the specials list; although we also used the regular menu. The prices are very reasonable.

This restaurant prepares young men and women for careers in the culinary tourism sector and gives them a good shot at a better life.
