We chose this hotel after having read scores of reviews of places to stay in Siem Reap. And, we couldn't have been happier with our choice! Everything was perfect as far as we are concerned. Very nice and good size rooms with separate shower and toilet. We stayed 10 days (could easily have stayed MUCH longer!) and had the chance to stay in the room with garden view as well as upstairs with balcony - both very comfortable with their own charm. The hotel itself has got a very warm and friendly ambience with a very charming breakfast area, beautiful decorated restaurant, small but adequate swimming pool and lots of nice plants and flowers. The breakfast and the food at the restaurant were both excellent. In fact we found all the food in Siem Reap very delicious and to our taste. As we live in Malaysia which is being reckoned as a food heaven, we are quite spoilt, but still we were delighted with the food in Siem Reap! The location is also superp, just a few minutes walk and you are right in the centre of the city. Still, once inside the gate of the hotel you feel like being far away from the hustle/bustle - an oasis of calm! The owner was extremely helpful in giving advise about how to get most out of our time, where and when to go to the different sites to avoid the crowds etc. All the staff were also very friendly and hospitable. Thank you all for all your kindness.

We had a wonderful holiday staying at Alliance Boutique Villa. The owners were very friendly, helpful and knowledgable about places to go and how to get there. A bonus was the excellent cooking school offered by the hotel, very reasonable price, market tour included and very accommodating of children taking part. A big hit with the kids! Rooms were spacious and well appointed, breakfast was delicious, on-site restaurant serves great Cambodian and French food in delightful surroundings, lovely salt-water pool. Walking distance to local market, tours arranged by hotel for a reasonable price. Ambience lovely - old restored colonial building, small number of rooms so very quiet and friendly atmosphere.

Room Tip: If travelling with children, ask hotel when booking for adjoining rooms downstairs - corner room dow...

This hotel was highly recommended in an article on Angkor Wat in the Boston Globe, so my sister and I booked a reservation without investigating any other properties. We were quite pleased to have found the hotel to be cozy and relaxing. The room was moderate in size, clean and comfortable. The owner was welcoming and helpful. The breakfasts are served in a beautiful shaded setting adjacent to the small swimming pool and were very good consisting of coffee, juice, omelette, fresh rolls and croissants, and fresh fruit. My sister and I had reserved the 3 night package, complete with a car and driver and Angkor Wat guide. If you want to be pampered, this is the way to go. We were met at the airport by our driver, and during the course of our 3 days, he would take us wherever we wanted to go. Our package also included dinner one night and show, and I would highly recommend dinner at the hotel even if you do not choose the package. The hotel rooms are set back from the street, so the hotel feels very private and removed from the hustle and bustle of Siem Reap.

the hotel is a small hotel with a small pool that is out front and center. it is mostly shaded so not a whole lot of lounging to be had by the pool unless you prefer shade. in addition, they have a small pond that sometimes has standing water, which increases the chances of mosquitos. in fact, i found several in our room. it appears the cleaning staff leaves the door open while cleaning as i had to go on my de-mosquito quest every evening.

they charge 2% for use of a CC. If you book through booking.com, agoda, or something else, the free taxi shuttle, which is mentioned in the brochure, is not included.

overall, great location as it is super close to the action without all the noise of being so close, the included breakfast was satisfactory, and the staff were friendly and attentive.

My sister and I spent 3 nights at the Boutique Villa/ Alliance Cafe and we were so glad we did. We had a lovely, quiet, and COOL room which was quite comfortable. We had a package deal which included 3 nights lodging, breakfast daily, one dinner (which included a live puppet and singing/dance show), taxi service on demand, 2 days' touring of the Angkor Archaeological complex with English speaking guide (Mr. Seng--highly recommend him), and a visit to the Floating Village and Floating Forest. At first we thought we could have gotten a better deal by paying for all of these things individually, but having everything set up for us and having a personal taxi for our use turned out to be the best decision hands down. In addition to the lovely lodging and small pool on the property (needed after a full, hot day of touring temples), the staff was very helpful and accommodating. We had use of the hotel laptop as needed, which was great since our iPad died earlier in the trip. Breakfast was delicious: a French breakfast complete with the best croissants I've ever tasted--and that includes France! Our taxi driver was great, and we took advantage of having the service by asking for side trips to areas beyond the Angkor complex such as the "real Cambodia countryside", a "real local's market", etc. Very eye opening, and so glad we saw more of the area. Lastly, although we weren't overly excited about the boat trip to see the Floating Village/Forest, this was an incredible trip. Over a couple hours' time we were on a long boat down the Mekong River which opened up into an amazing fishing village of small houses on stilts. These people are fishermen, and we saw many small boats coming and going from the village to the large lake that the river empties into. The long boat then transferred us to another small paddle boat in which a woman (holding her baby) paddled us through the floating forest--also an incredible trip. Make sure not to miss this!

In a nutshell this hotel is perfect for just about any kind of traveller: solo, couples, families, backpackers, whatever.

Pros: Reasonably priced. Excellent location (literally a 5 minute walk to the river and to Pub Street). Great service with an almost constant smile! Very tastefully decorated place (both the bedrooms and the grounds of the hotel are lovely). I was in the 'green room' and i can speak for that at least: its charmingly designed - really cant fault it. Good breakfast thrown in with the price of the room.

Cons: Its really difficult to think of any. I suppose toiletries were just about adequate (bigger bar of soap and maybe a bottle rather than sachet of shampoo would have been nice). Otherwise bathroom was likewise very nicely designed etc (p.s the hot water take a long time to kick in but they do have piping hot water... it takes about 3 or 4 minutes to kick in though).

Overall really cant complain.

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights in late November/early December in one of the garden suite rooms. The location is great, room was lovely, breakfast was very nice and the owner was very helpful. She sits down with you when you check in and finds out what you want to do, giving you tips and advice. We ended up using the tuk-tuk driver that teh hotel sent to pick us up at the airport for our entire visit. He was great. We visited the drunken forest and stilted village thru the hotel and that was well worth it. Even had lunch in a home in the village. Our flight left very late on our last day and since our room wasn't rented they let us stay until 9PM, which they did not have to do. Needless to say it was great to be able to take a shower and change our clothes. The only minor issues I had were that 1) the staff could speak better English, and 2) they missed replacing items in the daily room make - soap, tissues, sometimes the hand towels.

Room Tip: I'm sure they are all great
