The Cheathata is very close to everything that you might need, but in a quiet location. The breakfast selection was better than the other hotels that we have stayed in, The rooms are a good size and the air-con very quiet. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The pool is more of a plunge pool to use at the end of a hot day, too small to swim in. Overall a very good hotel at a fair price. I would definitely stay here again.

I stayed in this hotel for 3days last feb, positive review about this hotel:
Strategic n Queit Location (walk 2mnts to Pub Street), Spacious n Clean BedRoom with Completes Amenities, BathTub n GoodShower, Good Service and Good Price, Bfast was Delicious, Free TukTuk Shuttle to Airport, Free WiFi in Hotel Room, Helpfull Staff. In front of Hotel there is Laundry (1,5USD/Kg), Various Resto with Khmer n Western Cuisine also Coctails, Travel Agent with Fair Price to take Local Tour or pass to the border like Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, etc. Theres Rental Bike beside hotel also for 1USD/Day. Almost No Bad Review during my stay here, maybe just The Pool was Small but its not a big deal for me. The rest is really worth it! You must stay in this hotel if u plan to go Siem Reap!

Room Tip: i stayed in 3rd floor, theres elevator so better to take higher floor to hv a better landscape view,

This is a very nice hotel for the money and it reminded me of mid-level business hotels in the U.S. The staff are all very friendly, the buffet breakfast is excellent, and it's in a great location: just a short walk from various restaurants, the night market, and pub street. We ended up staying here a second time on a return visit to Siem Reap. The only minor complaint is that we didn't have hot water during our second stay and we ended up switching rooms. Therefore, don't hesitate to ask for a new room if that's the case for your stay as we

We can make nothing but positive comments about this wonderful hotel. From the very second we arrived, tired from a 5 hr. van ride, we were met with a cold refreshing welcome drink and plenty of warm and heartfelt smiles. It was immediately apparent that the staff truly loved their foreign guests and were excited to do whatever they could to insure a memorable visit. We were checked in by Ms. Sovan Nika. She is truly a "jewel". She was professional in checking us in and confirming our dates at Cheathata. She then gave us a map, and marked not only where the hotel was located, but the markets, Pub Street, the massage spas we'd inquired about, and the restaurants we asked directions for. She followed up by offering us any help that was needed during our stay, from her as well as anyone on staff. She spoke great English, which was a real bonus.

Nika escorted us to our room - a Colonial Suite. The room was immaculate, very large and well appointed. She showed us how to operate the safe, where the fridge was, and advised that we would have bottled drinking water each day. She provided us with the hours of the complimentary breakfast, showed us the cozy robes we could use, and also took us to the pool on the rooftop.

The bathroom of the room was large and modern. The view from our room was terrific. The complimentary breakfast was wonderful, very plentiful, seasonal fresh fruit,. eggs, pastry, potatoes, stir fried veggies, etc. The staff in the breakfast room is so nice. Off the breakfast area are 2 computers for guest use. The hotel also provides laundry service at a reasonable rate and next day service. We took advantage so that we could come home with clean clothes.

Although the pool is small, it provides a need respite from the afternoon heat. There is a great view of the surrounding area, including the Crocodile Farm. There are sufficient lounge chairs. Pool towels are available, and all one has to do is pick up the phone and order cocktails which are delivered in a matter of minutes. The cleaning staff is very attentive to detail.

This hotel has the best location. It is a one minute walk from the Night Market, and many great restaurants. It is in a safe area, and taxi and tuc tuc drivers are readily available.

All the staff is so helpful and kind. We loved it and would recommend it to our friends and to other travelers.

Room Tip: Colonial Suite.....The room is big and appointed with everything you need.

We came in the night very tired from Bangkok by bus. Tuk tuk took us to Cheathata Angkor Hotel. It was very beautiful night view with neon lights and hotel look fantastic like in New York. Staff offered us a drink of fresh water with ice and in a few minutes we were booked and go upstairs to our room. We took shower in very large bathroom and got into king size bed, enjoying amenities, included refrigirator full with juices and other drinks. Room is clean and aircondishioner was working before we got into our room. It was cool.We slept almost 11 hours and wake up with a sunshine into our window. Look again around and see great large TV, opened news watching CNN. In 30 minutes we go for our complimentary breakfest. Really big choices, combination with american and cambodian food. Honestly good cooking and we eat a lot.
Manager and staff cordial and available immediately. Beautiful a western style alike for 4-5 style hotel lobby and we jut walked in 1 minute to the hub of the Siem Reap entertainment activities. What a refreshing view from the top floor with swimming pool and taking sun with a view on the city and Angkor Wat we can see it as well. We watched how they are upgrading its hotel style, adding outside a palicade and greening even more front and around hotel entrance.
However, too many tourists are staying at this hotel. We like to have our privacy: private breakfest and dinner in our room. It was no big deal for manager of restaurant. He just made our order and in 5 minutes delivered to our room. We already made bath with aroma of chinese extracts taking our coctails into the tub and just relaxing and dreaming to go to Apsara famous dancing theater.
Well, it was good. Can not ask more. Thank you staff.
