“Great place to stay”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 15, 2012

Its a place for true relaxation and getaway. Staff at the guesthouse are very patient and friendly as such we always feel at home at all times.

Owner sets up the guesthouse to support employment for the Cambodian and for this reason, its worth supporting them again.

I was greeted warmly by Rathy when I arrived in the afternoon and he made the effort of introducing me the places to visit around Siem Reap. They always have tuk-tuk drivers on stand-by so you don't have to hail one on the streets. The guesthouse is really comfortable and homely and the staffs are really friendly. They provide bicycles for you to bike around the city too! It's the best way to know your way around. I love how hospitable they are and I would definitely visit the place again if I go back to Siem Reap. :)

This is the perfect place to relax and experience peace and serenity after busy days checking out all that Angkor Wat has to offer. We booked for only 3 nights and ended up staying for a week. From the moment we arrived we felt at home and cared for - a free tuktuk from the bus station, a well appointed clean room, delicious daily breakfast on the terrace or in the garden, free DVDs and books available and the charm and kindness of the staff (especially Rathy and Kagna) - means that this will be where we stay if ever we return Siem Reap. Take advantage of the free bikes - we enjoyed the 10 minute bike ride along the river to the hustle and bustle, markets, and cheap cafes of central Siem Reap.
An absolute must too is the free Beatocello concert on Saturday night at the children's hospital across the road - inspirational and moving, as well as educational.

If you are trekking to Cambodia to check out the mystical ruins of Angkor Wat, the Bloom GArden Guesthouse is an absolute must! Even if it weren't for the gorgeous colonial mansion completely made out of teak and the romantic mosquito net cover bed, this place would still be on my "must-stay" places, simply because of the people that work there. The hotel's manager, Diana, made an effort to welcome us personally and showed us around the town. She, and her fabulous staff (especially her tuktuk drivers) were more than accommodating. You will absolutely enjoy your stay!! Have fun and make sure to buy her custom bags!!! They are fabulous :)

Room Tip: All rooms are lovely!

We came expecting a lot based on the reviews, and we were very happy with Bloom Garden Guest House. The staff was extremely friendly - to the point that we left Siem Reap with new friends. The building is beautiful, well appointed, and clean, and the guesthouse is just the right size - only 10 rooms, so you have a chance to hear the stories from your fellow travelers. Just be sure to catch the free Beatchello concert at the nearby Children's Hospital on Saturday nights. It will inspire you - maybe will even make your trip more than what you expected.

Booked only based on Tripadvisor reviews and suggestions of another reviewer. It was a nice place to stay. Quite cheap, though a bit away from the main area. The entire stay and pick up and local transaportation were taken care by the Owners... Everything worked perfectly. There was a driver to pick up my wife an me from Pnom Penh Airport in the evening and driving immaculately and safely to reach the guesthouse after a 6 hour driving. Somphal, the driver was available to take us to the Temples/excavation areas and trying to find veg restaurants and trying to explain to the staff of our needs. The stay was comfortable though could have expected a better equipped room.. the power tripped when i used the hotwater continuously for 10 minutes... but that is not an issue if anyway you get peace in strolling in the small garden around the hotel. The staff were quite courteous

Room Tip: If you want stay away from the noise and in a farm house, here you are!!

I just spent three days at Bloom Garden Guest House and highly recommend this place of quiet beauty. The staff were wonderful and reflect the gentle spirit of the Cambodian people. I had my laundry done and they did a great job with the clothes, also they arranged airport pick up and return and were helpful all the way around. I had a good discussion with one of the staff about his experience growing up during the Pol Pot regime with all it's horrors and human violations. Be sure to read the book - First They Killed My Father : A Daughter of Cambodia Remembers for a history of recent Cambodia.
