We came expecting a lot based on the reviews, and we were very happy with Bloom Garden Guest House. The staff was extremely friendly - to the point that we left Siem Reap with new friends. The building is beautiful, well appointed, and clean, and the guesthouse is just the right size - only 10 rooms, so you have a chance to hear the stories from your fellow travelers. Just be sure to catch the free Beatchello concert at the nearby Children's Hospital on Saturday nights. It will inspire you - maybe will even make your trip more than what you expected.

Booked only based on Tripadvisor reviews and suggestions of another reviewer. It was a nice place to stay. Quite cheap, though a bit away from the main area. The entire stay and pick up and local transaportation were taken care by the Owners... Everything worked perfectly. There was a driver to pick up my wife an me from Pnom Penh Airport in the evening and driving immaculately and safely to reach the guesthouse after a 6 hour driving. Somphal, the driver was available to take us to the Temples/excavation areas and trying to find veg restaurants and trying to explain to the staff of our needs. The stay was comfortable though could have expected a better equipped room.. the power tripped when i used the hotwater continuously for 10 minutes... but that is not an issue if anyway you get peace in strolling in the small garden around the hotel. The staff were quite courteous

Room Tip: If you want stay away from the noise and in a farm house, here you are!!

I just spent three days at Bloom Garden Guest House and highly recommend this place of quiet beauty. The staff were wonderful and reflect the gentle spirit of the Cambodian people. I had my laundry done and they did a great job with the clothes, also they arranged airport pick up and return and were helpful all the way around. I had a good discussion with one of the staff about his experience growing up during the Pol Pot regime with all it's horrors and human violations. Be sure to read the book - First They Killed My Father : A Daughter of Cambodia Remembers for a history of recent Cambodia.

Bloom is a little way out of town. You can't really walk, and you need to take a tuk tuk down a very bumpy dirt road - wear your scarf around your face for the dust. But you get used to thi sin Cambodia. Being out a little way it is definitely quiet and peaceful and you can hear the birds. There is some rubbish and some work going on behind the guest house. Siem Reap is strained with tourists, it is a strain on the whole town. They are so friendly here and the wood and tiles and large curving interiors make this a cool place to relax. very well priced.

Bloom Guesthouse is a world of its own. Beautiful gardens, nice rooms, and wonderful people. Visiting the temples is hard work and it's very hot, so this wonderful B&B makes it civilized. Everyone was helpful - they arranged for a guide and a tuk tuk driver and helped us with our planning. They greeted us with a cool drink and a beautiful scarf - it was WONDERFUL!

We stayed here after researching ethical businesses in Cambodia that are social enterprises aimed at returning to the community and not just for profit. Diana runs a business making beautiful bags in Siem Reap and employs quite a few people doing this to support their families. The same goes for the staff at the guesthouse, including the tuk-tuk drivers. They are supported by their work to build better lives for themselves and their families.

We loved the guesthouse, from the cute little restaurant to sitting on the balcony using the wifi internet and counting the geckos whilst sipping on a cold beer. So relaxing and peaceful. Beds are comfy, rooms are a comfortable temp with fans, air conditioning and new mosquito nets.

It is also right in the middle of Siem Reap yet really quiet, and a short Tuk-tuk ride with one of the super nice drivers to all of the temples and other sites. We particularly enjoyed the trip to Tonle Sap and Bantay Srei and the Silk Farm.

If you are lucky you will go to Karaoke with Diana and friends...quite a highlight ;-)

Cheers,

Nic

Quiet oasis with wonderful staff (Rathy, Kagna and Bros especially) at a good price. We stayed here for 10 days (room 8) and enjoyed every minute. Close to park entrance but only a short ride to downtown. Nice quiet garden setting to relax in. Great hotel-affiliated reasonably priced tuk-tuk and car drivers. Ren our tuk-tuk driver and his family are now our friends. Pheak, our car driver ended up working with us on further onward travels. Clean rooms, good laundry service, nice included breakfast or packed snack if you go out early, lunch and dinner meals reasonably priced and tasty (especially fresh spring rolls!!). One minor suggestion - the window screens only work with the shutters closed and do not fit well. They need to be updated, so that you can have light and air coming in at the same time and not have to rely on just glass and A/C or open windows to have daylight. Overall, we concur with the 5 star reviews listed here.

Room Tip: Room 8 at the back of the house 2nd floor is quiet and has windows on two sides, one side faces sunr...
