My friend and I have been living in Phnom Penh and wanted a break from the city life. It was our first time in siem reap and we wanted something afforable, with a good location, and a quiet relaxing stay. We found Siddharta and stayed for five nights! It was amazing!

From the moment we walked in the service was lovely with fresh juice and mint towels as well as smiles meeting us after a long bus ride. The rooms are quaint, large, and nice and cold. For those worried about using energy and being ecofriendly the key acts as the energy switch so you never waste anything.

We booked through the hotel and saved a few dollars and also got free tuk tuk service everyday from 10 AM till 10 PM! This was the best part, you saved so much many because they would accompany you everywhere from every single temple to giving helpful tips for lunch and dinner etc. Ours is even stayed longer when we wanted to explore Pub Street late at night.

The location is quiet away from the city and perfectly placed in between both Angkor and the downtown. The breakfast was fresh and light and the refreshing salt water pool perfect for resting after a long day. I would come back here the next time I am in Siem Reap and recommend it for couples, families, and solo travellers alike!

Room Tip: get one on the ground floor for a larger more private veranda!

My wife and I went to Siem Reap this June 2013 with family and friends. Looking at the list of hotels available, we wanted to make sure that we stayed in a comfy hotel with a local touch and reasonable rates. We saw the Siddharta and knew that was the place.

We arrived at the hotel and were instantly validated.

The Siddharta is a great small resort hotel. Its not at the center of town, but they provide free tuk tuk services anyway. The resort design is local. The resort featured wooden railings, roof tiles and Cambodian touches here and there. A lot of landscaping around the property completed the homey touch. Our kids felt right at home. The layout of the resort evokes a breezy and relaxing atmosphere. Each of the rooms had private verandas that faced the pool.

The rooms were spacious and comfortable. There were complete amenities: TV, ref, phones, speakers for your media player, and also coffee and tea sets. The bathroom was spacious, and its layout and interiors provided a local and comfortable feel.

The veranda provided some respite after a hot day of exploring the temples. Our ground floor room's veranda was right in front of the pool. The kids jumped into the well-designed pool every afternoon.

Service in this resort was very pleasant. The staff always greeted us and provided us all our requests. There were no complaints. They were very hospitable.

The breakfast here was also good, albeit simple. Breakfast menus changed everyday. Yogurt lovers will love the local yogurt they serve here as it was excellent! We were also able to try their dinner menu. I tried the fish with tamarind sauce, never got tired of it and ordered it daily.

All in all I would recommend the Siddharta for families and couples looking for peace and quiet. I wouldn't know how the big hotels in Siem Reap are like, but if you like small, cozy and personal, the Siddharta delivers.

I loved staying at this small intimate hotel. The pool and gardens were always clean. The rooms were big and bathrooms clean . The location was quiet and away from the busy dusty center but only 5 minutes by tuk tuk driver who was always waiting.

This boutique hotel has large & spacious rooms. The housekeeping staff cleaned & freshened up the rooms each morning the moment you go out. When you come back mid-afternoon after having walked & climbed countless temples under the hot sun, the room would have been made up & smelled of oranges. The pool was such a relaxing treat too.

Breakfast was very basic but the homemade yogurt needs special mention. The plain yogurt came in quaint little bottles and it wasn't so sour & had the right sweetness. You'd have to have 2!

Booking directly with the hotel comes with complementary tuk tuk for each day of your stay. Our driver, Mr. Phan gave us a good first impression of Cambodia & it's beautiful people. He was very courteous, attentive, gave insightful information, was flexible with our itinerary since the weather was unpredictable, and overall very professional. I'd make sure to hire Mr. Phan if ever I go back.

My husband and I stayed here on the first leg of our trip to Cambodia and Vietnam.
From the time we arrived the staff could not do enough to help up us and always with a smile.
The room was spacious with a large bathroom and bath and the bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in. The saltwater pool was very soft and warm and a wonderful relief after visiting the temples. Breakfast is on the top floor with plenty of choice with a lovely cool breeze and view.
The hotel is too far from the centre of town to walk but there is always a friendly tuk-tuk outside and it is just a 5 minute ride.

We would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again.

My wife and I spent two nights in this hotel and found everything to our liking. Located off the main road on a quiet, deadend side street, there was absolutely no traffic, so all was quiet and peaceful. The staff was outstanding and assisted us with all our needs. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable with excellent air conditioning. The buffet breakfast was a bit more limited than others we had experienced, but there was still plenty of good food to choose from. The pool was particularly refreshing for a cool down from the hot, humid climate. The weeping wall at the pool provided a nice shower effect that I enjoyed standing under. In the evening, the hotel provided a complementary tuk tuk ride to the city center where we could enjoy the local eateries.

We thoroughly enjoyed the accomdations of this hotel, could find nothing to complain about, and only wish we had been able to stay longer. I highly recommend it.

Room Tip: Some ground level rooms have a patio area at the pool.
