“Amazing place - the perfect place to start my holiday”
Reviewed August 27, 2011

My stay in Siddharta Boutique Hotel was amazing from start to end. First and foremost the staff of the hotel is possibly the most incredible I have ever met on travels around the world - always smiling and great sense of humour, knowledgable on everything you could thing of asking and they give fantastic advice on how to spend your time in Siem Reap - accommodated just to your wishes for your holiday. They will give you great tips on everything from how to tackle the many beautiful temples according to your wishes and time, as well as to where to find the best shopping in Siem Reap. So forget about all the guide books, their advice is much more up-to-date and will guide you around to the many incredible designers and handicraft shops there are in Siem Reap - especially the great ones, which you do not find in the guidebook.

The rooms in Siddharta are spacious, beautiful and well-equipped with the extra touches of speakers for music, beautiful wall pictures and great bathrooms. The terraces of the ground floor deluxe rooms are a great place to spend the afternoon or evening relaxing on the daybeds or in the beautiful hanging chair after a long day walking in the amazing Angkor temples. Also the free tuc-tuc service, availble if you book certain rooms/days are a fantastic complimentary edition to the accommodation. I spent some great days with Mr. Phal finding temples and quirky boutiques.

I spendt a perfect five days at the Siddharta Boutique Hotel and I would highly recommend it to anyone travelling to Siem Reap :)

We just finished our stay in this lovely hotel. The staff were so nice and really friendly. The rooms are lovely and the hotel is in a good location, nice and quiet area. The breakfast is very good and once again served by staff always with a lovely smile on their faces. We ate in the restaurant one night of our stay as well and it was also good food, reasonably priced to the restaurants in town. Would recommend using the tuk tuk drivers the hotel can organise to use for the day, they are available from sunrise to sunset and are lovely people and at $15 for the day this is a excellent price. It was nice to come back to a friendly face awaiting us after visiting the temples, with a nice cold bottle of water. Ask for Phan You, he was a lovely driver. Overall this is one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in travelling around the world, they even had a surprise birthday cake in our room for my partner on his birthday! It makes such a difference staying in a hotel where all the staff are so friendly and genuinely appreciate your stay. I would also recommend a day trip to Beng Malea, this temple is amazing.

We had a great time, the hotel is new, super clean, spacious rooms, very good complimentary breakfast in the terrace. The complimentary tuck-tuck is just fantastic to get from the hotel to the temples to restaurants, downtown, etc.
The hotel is in a very quiet neighborhood.

My friend and I stayed here for 3 nights and we felt like VIP’s from the moment we checked in. The reception staff are so lovely, especially Mr Doh So and Painba – who always greeted us with a smile and were always there to help us. The rooms are really spacious and nice, the beds are comfortable and it was always clean. We had an initial problem with the hot water in our shower but as soon as we informed reception, they sent someone immediately to fix the problem.

The breakfast is also really great. Sophea was always there to brighten up our mornings with her pleasant and cheerful nature. There are three main options for breakfast (bacon & eggs, fried rice and noodles) plus a fruit platter, breads, croissants and orange or mango juice. We also had dinner here one night and it was delicious and the prices were on par with the prices at other restaurants on Pub Street. There is also a computer available to use with internet access.

The hotel also provides a tuk-tuk service that was very convenient and the massages here are also excellent. Overall, it was such a pleasant, lovely stay because of the awesome staff and great rooms.

We had booked a stay at Pavillion Indochine, Siddharta's sister hotel, but they had a pool leakage so we were directed to Siddharta at the same rate of $45/night. We were met at the airport by their driver, Mr.Choo, who was very friendly and reliable. The reception staff when we arrived was very professional and hospitable, having already put together a sample itinerary for our 2 full days in Siem Reap. They arranged for an  English-speaking tour guide to meet us at our hotel the next day to visit some temples. Mr. Choo was our tuk tuk driver for our entire stay ... Ask for him if you go. Doh So at reception is very nice and helpful. The rooms are clean and spacious. The pool is nice and worth a dip in after a long (hot) day of temple touring. The food is also very solid - make sure to try some Cambodian dishes. Our stay included a complimentary one-hour massage which was nice.

All in all, a very pleasant stay! We would highly recommend Siddharta to our family and friends. Their hospitality, food, and facilities are first-rate. If we come back to Siem Reap, we will definitely be staying here again!

Dear client,

Thank you for taking time to write about the experience of your stay at Siddharta. We learn from all these comments and criticism to improve our services. Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience which was happened during your stay. We promise to do our best to make it better if you give us chance to welcome you again at our property.

We would also like to clarify that our breakfast (which is included in the price) has many different choices. It consist with two fresh baked croissants, three kinds of homemade jam, homemade yogurt, toasted French bread, butter, wild Cambodian honey, all you can eat eggs and bacon instant cooked the way you order (fried, omelet, etc), vegemite, a few selection of tea, coffee, selection of fruit juice, cereals, milk, and a selection of fresh season fruits, chocolate or banana cake… Cambodian Porridge, fried noodle and fried rice can be served on request.

Regarding the location, we are in the midway between the center of Siem Reap (about 5mn drive by tuk tuk) and the Angkor temples (about 10mn to Angkor Wat). People coming in Siem Reap need transportation to visit the temples on a daily basis. We do provide tuk tuk or car at reasonable cost from sunrise to 10pm including round town or temples at anytime. For those who does not use the daily transportation, one way fare to center town by tuk tuk cost only 2$ . The 2 ways (go and back) is 4$ including the waiting time.

We thank you for your precious comments, and we will surely improve our weaknesses.

Thank you

This boutique hotel is exactly that.. a perfect get-a-way. Although one normally runs around all day visiting the temples, it would be a shame not to spend at least a little time to relax in the courtyard by the pool at Siddharta. We arrived at 08:30 am and could check in right away and were greeted by the friendly staff. The hotel is strategically halfway between the temples and town and only 10 min from the airport. The breakfast which is on the top floor terrace is very nice and you have a great breeze while eating fresh fruit and await your custom cooked meal selection. Rooms are clean and cozy and the sheets are very nice with a good thread count. The courtyard is excellent with a waterfall pool. Beer served cold on request and the lunch menu is also very nice. The staff also make this hotel what it is as they are very kind and caring. Without a doubt, I will be booking myself back into this hotel the next time I visit.

Room Tip: ground floor rooms are best!
