“Best Hotel Ever”

This is a truly great hotel, and because it is in Cambodia, it's super cheap for a westerner like me. The rooms smell of heavenly spices and the hospitality is outstanding. The breakfast is tasty and there is plenty of it. One of the best hotels I've ever been to.

Arrived here from Battambang. Vivid decor. Lovely staff. Ate here on first night - cafe style - no real bar. Very close to pub street - markets etc. Rooms were quite nice, bathroom was really small and shower was a trickle some times, however really enjoyed our stay.

Stepping into the lobby from the busy streets of Siem Reap, the Golden Temple hotel is a pleasant, welcoming oasis. Greeting you on your arrival and at each return, with welcoming smiles and cold towels to wipe your face, is the most friendly and helpful staff we have ever encountered on our travels. We prefer small, boutique hotels, and this one is a gem. The pool and restaurant and both picturesque, and the decor fun. The bathrooms are simple but more than adequate, and the price is right. A five minute walk from the downtown shopping area, the local is hard to beat. The staff went out of their way to welcome my husband and me and our two boys (11&13) and to make sure we were well taken care of during our stay.

Room Tip: If you are a light sleeper, request a room away from the street.

We stayed there in Dec 2012 for 3 nights. Hotel is in perfect location, a block from night market, and Pub street. When we arrived we were greeted with plate of nuts and tea. Our room, good size, with flat TV , free WiFi, was on a ground floor , facing a swiming pool. Service by everybody, reception desk, managers, restaurant staff- amazing.
It was the only hotel during our 2 weeks trip where we ate dinners in the hotel's restaurant. Food was very good and plentyful.Since we had a package with massage and lunch and dinner, we tried all, and end up having massages everyday in their spa.
Hotel is tastefuly decorated with Cambodian theme.
They arranged our sightseeings for all days with good prices and very nice driver.
Definitevely worth the money

Room Tip: Try second floor, swimming pool view. Ground floor has less privacy.

This was a wonderful value in Siem Reap. The hotel had ever ammenity you could require. We booked a pool-side room through Expedia and we really loved it. Our arrival and check in went extremely smoothly. The staff great you with a welcome drink and some nuts which is nivce when you've been travelling.

Our room was a nice size and the bed and pillows were super comfortable....great AC and lots of hot water (a real requirement after temple trekking all day). The hotel entrance was beautiful, the overall hotel was very well-kept and the pool was quite lovely.

There were so many extras included in our room rate like airport pick-up (via tuk-tuk), breakfast, a take-away breakfast or lunch, a dinner, two free full one-hour massages for my husband and I (one each)...even DVD's about the local area in our room....it all really adds to your stay.

The staff went out of their way to arrange drivers for us to visit the temples, make dinner reservations for us at local restaurants and, finally, to arrange a private car to Phnom Penh (the mini-buses were all full). Plus the room service staff that delivered drinks to us on our patio by the pool every evening were always pleasant and quick!

We wished we'd stayed longer in this lovely little town and had more time to lounge by the pool and get more massages at this wonderful gem of a hotel (best massage we had in Asia BTW). We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone going to Angkor Wat and, whatever you do, book an extra night or two here...you will not regret it!

Room Tip: If you book a pool-side room, you are guaranteed a nice view (some people mentioned many of the upst...

I love this small little Boutique hotel with all its virbrant colours. The rooms are very tastefully designed and as a couple you feel like in honeymoon. The pool is very refreshing and Angkor wat is very close by car. This hotel is only few mins by foot to the city where you can find small shops and a night market.

After arriving in Siem Reap, my boyfriend and I arrived at our first hotel to find our room was not available. We immediately went onto agoda and booked a room at the Golden Temple Hotel. We arrived at the hotel around a half hour later. When we arrived we were greeted with a fruit plate, nuts, and delicious drinks as well as warm towels. Regretfully the hotel could not find our reservations and the booking manager had left for the night. Regardless, the hotel staff put us in a room and promised to fix the issues the next morning. The did assist us in fixing the problem in the morning. The remainder of our trip was met with the warmest of greetings from the staff. They brought us fruit plates and gave us free appetizers and drinks at dinner to make up for the mistake in our booking.

Additionally, our booking came with free breakfast every morning which was delicious (they had the best iced coffee!), a free dinner, a free picnic basket to take on our day trips, and a free leg massage. After having staying in a ton of hotels, this is by far my favorite hotel I have ever stayed at. I recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone! It is great for couples but also very family friendly! We absolutely loved it!

Room Tip: We enjoyed our first room on the bottom floor in the very back. Some of the rooms overlook a hostel...
