This really was a horrible Hotel.........
The rooms smell damp & mouldy and the curtains are filthy.
The entire place needs a thorough cleaning, but would need new Management or new Cleaners as the current staff spend most of the day sitting on the stairs chatting.
There is obviously a real lack of guidance.

However, the pool area with a small poolside bar looked nice and clean.
A very ordinary breakfast is served by the pool.

Such as shame as the Hotel is in a great spot, less than a 5 minute walk to all the activities of Siem Reap (Pub Street, Markets & Restaurants) and opposite the river and so easy to access Angkor Wat Temples

It was so bad in fact, we moved as soon as we could.

Do not go to a Hotel recommended by a Tuk Tuk Driver!!!
A real trap for those arriving from the border without a prior booking.

Generally would agreed with most of the other reviewers, The hotel's operation has some good strong points but also some minor weaknesses. Overall our stay was good and enjoyable, rooms are generally clean and of a good size (we had 2 rooms for five persons, 2 adults+3 kids). The staff are friendly and helpful though a bit amateurish at times. The pool and breakfast were well used and enjoyable, though the pool area can be crowded even with a few people around it. The hotel's location near the old market was great with easy walking to markets and restaurants in the evening.

(Minor) Weaknesses
We started with a bit of a SNAFU in terms of the pick up from the airport, where we had to wait for over 45 minutes for the pickup after a couple of calls. As it appears that at first a tuk tuk was sent and when they realised there were five persons with luggage, change over for a minibus, with three staff sent for the pickup? However they parked outside the airport compound? and when they found us we have to walk out of airport, why was this we don't know but likely to save a couple of 1000s Riels ($0.75), a bit silly then?

As others have mentioned room arrangements can be a problem, we asked for the 2 room to be close to each other but in the end got separate floors? for the first night. We checked for vacating rooms the next morning and got relocated, but checking and verifying guest requests from bookings would be a useful practice for desk staff and management to pick up such requests.

Overall would recommend it for a stay

What a gem this hotel was. I had a balcony room overlooking the pool for $23 per night. The only problem I had was I had asked for a double bed as my booking but when I got there they only gad a twin. No big deal but as I was booked in for 2 weeks I should have been informed prior to arrival. The room included breakfast which was great when I got up in time. Buffet breaky also with hot cooked fresh eggs. The staff were friendly and efficient, well done Mr Hongkong. my room was serviced daily and the girls did an excellent job.
As the title suggest this was a great location, just a short walk to pub street and all the markets as well as a variety of street food and cafe's.
I would definitely stay here again.

We hadn't booked any accommodation for Siem Reap but our tuk tuk driver recommended this place and we were thrilled. The staff were exceptionally nice and we really felt that they looked out for us whilst we were there. The rooms were of a very good standard and great value. We had a pool view room which was nice and spacious. The pool was a nice way to relax after a hot day checking out the temples.

Location was excellent, being a very short walk from the Old Market area (where you will find $0.50 beers on Pub Street, another great reason to visit Siem Reap!). We would strongly recommend this place.

The main selling point of the hotel is its prime location. It is very near the Night Market and Pub Street. The hotel only had 5 floors but had no elevator. So we had to carry our own luggage 4 flights of stairs since our room was on the 5th floor. The hotel didn’t provide bellboys to help us. Breakfast was included in our rate but we weren’t able to try it. The pool was small and looked dirty when we arrived so we didn’t bother. A good thing is that WiFi is complimentary.

My friends and I booked a triple sharing room. The room was surprisingly very large. However, the bathroom could use cleaning, especially the tiles. The water pressure of the bidet was better than the shower. The beds are just ok. Ultimately, it’s a simple hotel that provides basic needs. If you want a hotel that’s near the Siem Reap nightlife, then I would suggest this hotel.

Room Tip: Try to get rooms at the lower floors. There are no elevators!

As a married couple for some strange reason we found it difficult to find a room with a double be in Siem Reap, after spending a couple of hours tramping around looking for comfortable and most importantly clean hotel our Tuk-tuk driver dropped us here.

First impressions of this hotel were good; the public areas were of an impressive colonial style built with quality materials. Funny then that when we viewed the room it was completely plain and no reflection of the outer style. The room looked clean (2 single beds) so being tired we checked in.

On closer inspection of the room are first impressions were not so correct-the bathroom area clearly had not been properly cleaned in a long time and the shower attachment did not work. My wife became quite upset when she opened the fridge and found it to be filthy dirty and even containing an item of rotting food.

The beds were fitted with high quality very comfortable mattresses, a nice swimming pool and small bar area, but the fridge incident meant my wife was never really comfortable here.

Breakfast buffet contained no more than 5 items and was just horrible.

We checked out after one night.

It’s difficult to advise the best way of booking hotels in Siem Ream if you pre-book and find your hotel is of poor quality you’re stuck with it-to find one on arrival takes lots of trekking despite the Tuk-tuk driver’s advice.

We did find a nice hotel (see my other reviews) but spent the best part of 24 hours searching before we felt comfortable in this city. But the Angkor Wat site was amazing and not to be missed so worth the effort.

Room Tip: go to another hotel
